When it comes to breath hold training, most often people focus too much on the intensity of the training itself and end up burning themselves out. Spending a lot of time in the "fight phase" of a breath hold is uncomfortable and people start to associate negative emotions with the training itself. What we've discovered is that you should place the focus on the consistency of your training, and make sure that you don't train too hard so you keep coming back for more. With consistent practice you will no doubt see big strides in the improvement of your breath hold. We tested this with over 20 participants and most people improved more than a minute, some of them got almost a 3 minute longer breath hold than when they started!
