Thank you Ariel , I’ve recently returned to England from nepal and am looking forward to my shipment of singing bowls to arrive . I managed to put together 2 12 piece chakra sets of naga bowls and 2 12 piece chakra sets of medium sized talking bowls , to find a few lingum bowls and a selection of very high pitched space clearing bowls , so once the shipment clears customs I will begin to organise some singing bowl master class workshops in london . Please let me know if there are any particular questions you would like me to address in the videos .

This was, once again, an amazing KZitem. We always learn a great deal from Paul’s videos.

Congratulations for the video. Where did you get these bowls. Here I can only find fake ancients bowls. Good quality ones, but fake old. How much should I expect to pay for a piece like these of yours? Best regards!

Hello Antonio . I bought some of the bowls from bowl and antique ,dealers in Kathmandu but you really have to know what to look for as 95% to 99% of the bowls that look old are modern but made to look old . You can usually tell by the sound and touch . The older bowls often have some silver content and are warmer and creamier to the touch , also the sound is richer usually with better harmonics than modern bowls . Also stylistically there are lots of older bowl shapes that are no longer made like the chama bowls or tulip bowls with the slightly out turned rim . Also old bows sometimes have thicker rims with a groove along the top edge as a form of fine tuning , modern bowls never have these features , as it’s too much work and probably beyond the skill of modern makers . I also send scouts all over the Himalayas and in to India naga land and bangladesh looking for old singing bowls , the last few years the most interesting and unusual bowls came from the remote tribal groups in far west nepal , some fantastic lingum bowls from naga land and from bengal . The naga bowls are coming from Bangladesh .

Great answer! Thanls so much for the rich details. Unfortunately I have to stick with local dealers, who never sell the real stuff, although the sound quality is fairly good. Thanks again and congratulations for your amazing collection.
