Just correncting a minor mistake, Jung wasn't a psychoanalist. He was psychistra. He took part of psychoanalytical movement but after the breaking of his relationship with Freud, he develop his own psychology that he called complex psychology or analytical psychology. You can check that in 2 of his books: volume 4 and 16 of his Collect Works. There is a huge differece between junguian psychoterapy and psychoanalise.

Thanks Ruth, nicely explained. I’m going to have a go with my dream last night - of two ignition keys, of a car and a motorbike, that wouldn’t turn....

Well done! I can begin with a powerful image from this morning's dream. I already see and feel the struggle I am having with myself. Perhaps Jung's technique will expedite resolution.
