Pipe organs are amazing instruments, no matter their size. And it is always good to see young men and ladies who have learned to play these majestic instruments for others to be inspired. I also appreciate seeing the older churches that are still active. I am in the Commonwealth (state) of Virginia, USA. The names of places you mentioned were carried over by early settlers here and used to identify many of our communities. Thanks for sharing your talents and inspirations so people like me can be inspired. It is good to know there are young organists who will keep these beautiful sounds of joy alive. God bless.

Hi. My late friend Derek was organist there for over 50 years. I’ve played it a few times as well. A couple of years ago it was cleaned and overhauled.

Thanks Matt for taking us along on your countryside adventure which looked an Idyllic location. The organ has a beautiful tone which together with the setting of the historic church was first class and your nimble fingers in control was great. Nice to see the two of you together and that you made the healthy choice for lunch 😂. Thanks.

This is the kind of church I enjoyed visiting most when doing tuning rounds. Little churches in the middle of nowhere surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Thanks excellent playing. There are many good instuments in village Churches which deserve to be known & played. Sadly too many are being destroyed & removed in favour of some electronic thing. Thank you for your excellent playing If only there were more like you who are prepared to play other music on the organ than just Bach.

despite what you hear said that churches are empty. that's not completely true. i cycle around for miles on Sundays throughout the English countryside and every village and town i pass i see people of are all ages making there way to church every Sunday morning. the two baptist churches near me are packed to bursting on a Sunday. so much so one of there churches had to be demolished as it had been outgrown by its congregation. they built a brand new church with a community centre added next door to the church. they kept up one old building to house those who have hit on hard times who are temporally homeless. its a very nice complex for the faithful to be in with there friends and families, new comers young and old. i think they intended to restore the old organ from the demolished church to later install inside the new. what i see is churches when allowed to still play an important role within there communities today.
