Oh wow, I had no idea what had happened to your Rose-Anne tree, Joe. I'm glad to see it's showing signs of new growth, hopefully, it will be back to normal by the end of the growing season 🤞 Excellent job with your loquat graft onto your seedling tree too 👍

Thanks Peter. It was a big risk taking it out and replanting, but I didn’t want to keep propping it up. I’m glad it’s paid off. Yeah really pleased my graft took, and looking forward to adding other varieties 🙌🏾

That's nice to see you RoseAnne tree pushing new growth, Joe. These are very strong plants. Your seedling is doing great also. Good idea to make it a multi-variety tree. 👍🏽

@Moebius, I’m so pleased the risk paid off. Loquat definitely are resilient fruit trees. Looking forward to grafting other varieties on the seedling as I’ve definitely run out of space in the garden!

Has it ever fruited? I have a tree in my garden and get flowers in spring but they dont survive. Grown from seed by my dear late mother.

@@vineshddabba9582 That's a very special tree you have. It's amazing that you've got it to flower. I think your tree has a good chance of fruiting. I've got incredible loquat fruit from my trees. Better than loquats I've bought at the store. I have videos of my trees on my channel. I think the success I've had has come from the cross pollination of different varieties. Loquats are supposedly somewhat 'self-fertile' but in the scientific papers i've read, the fruitlets are more likely to hold if they have been pollinated by a genetically different plant ... I beleive this is key in getting them to fruit in the UK.

It looks so lush green and beautiful in the beginning of the video. Looks like they are all well fed, happy and welcoming you in the garden. I have to see it several times before going to loquats tree.

Garden is looking awesome :). That loquat is a good variety, waiting for my quince to put on some size so I can experiment zone pushing some uncommon spring blooming loquats.

@raregrowsNJ, thank you. Quince is a very good root stock for Loquats. Good luck with your zone pushing experiment..🙌🏾

Great job moving the tree Joe, I had no idea it had been dislodged. Strange leaves from the base, what type of rootstock do you think its been grafted on ? My only concerns with planting it deeper might be 1 ) stem rot at the base or 2 ) the grafted variety might form its own roots which honestly isn't a big problem except that the rootstock might have been chosen for dwarfing the plant lol......

Thanks Brett. The leaves from the base are Ash tree root stock. Usually loquats are grafted on Quince, but not uncommon on Ash also. I made sure when replanting, cover root stock part, so it should hopefully be fine….I hope 😂 only time will tell.

When you went to your graft. The yellow leaves and black spots on that tree are similar to mine. What's the cause?

Anyone. Can anyone help. My locquat's leaves have developed blackspots and are turning yellow and eventually the leaf turns totally yellow and drops off. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi, I’m not sure what the issue is. How is the bark on the trunk? Is it peeling off?
