Medellin, Colombia - Humanos3D was featured in 2020-21 on the Raw Travel Episode 809, "Socially Conscious Colombia." They make prosthetics out of plastic and other materials via 3D printers for relatively cheap. I first met them in 2019 when filming and revisited them in the fall of 2022 and again in 2023.
When I visited in November of 2023, this precious 5-year-old Ana, who was born with an undeveloped left hand was getting fitted for her new prosthetic hand. Humano's 3D prosthetics can also be customized which is very popular with children. Ana wanted to be a pink princess. As she grows, her left hand can be replaced inexpensively.
Ana is naturally right-handed (of course), but she picks up skills with her new left hand almost immediately. Here she is picking up a water bottle for the very first time using her brand new left hand.
Humanos 3D is run entirely off private donations, grants, etc., and man, if you see a smile like Ana's after getting hers... well, I'm still on a dopamine high, you will want to donate.
Also, if you are keen to volunteer, they have EXCELLENT opportunities.
Visit their website Humanos3D.org or follow them on their socials @humanos3d to learn more about this organization.
