Great coins. I have not jumped into the Morgans world. I feel that once I start it'll be a rabbit hole with no end. There are lots of dates with varieties attributed. Maybe research which direction I'd like to take. Collect each year, each mint, certain VAMs..? I don't know. Thanks for sharing. Keep collecting.

@@hi-ol-ag4811 As a matter of fact, I have a 1878 or 1879, It was GAW win. I guess that's my first. I even have an Intercept Morgan Dollars 3-ring coin album. It's empty. Ready for coins to take their place. I'm sure the album will be beautiful when filled. lol

Love seeing ANACS unboxings. I gotta disagree a little though because I really like the yellow label ANACS slabs. Much much better than the older blue labels.

ID, yellow is my favorite color. I'm sure many people approve of the current label. It's just something about it that doesn't pass my eye test. Wish they would try something different. Thanks!

How do you get vams on the Morgans? Do you just pay a fee and they find it for you?

The way it was explained to me...If a variety is noted in the Redbook, ANACS will attribute the VAM, no charge. That's what's good about ANACS. PCGS/NGC, you would have to pay for varties at $18+/coin.

Yeah, most of the varieties on Flying Eagle Cents are known as “Snow” varieties. He has probably looked at a few in his day. Thanks for the video nice submission.

I bet if ANACS closed down and re-opened under NAACS or so, they would be the company everyone would rush to send coins to?

ANACS under-graded 4 of the last 13 I sent (IMHO, one is for sure) and over-graded one. All straight graded wheats.

Honestly, these BS certified coins are just that. If you have been collecting for many years you KNOW what you believe the grade is and you don't need anyone else's opinion, because that is all it is! Certified just to insure a rare coin is genuine, anything else is just someone's opinion which is NO BETTER than your opinion! I started collecting coins when grades were Unc., BU. and GEM....over 60 years ago!

Roy, times are a changing. With today's advancements in computers, counterfeiting has improved and skyrocketed. Given that, a need for authentication is needed. If you are going to sell a coin at a certain price, it doesn't hurt to have a numerical value. From my perspective, the grading industry lacks standardization. Thanks for watching!

Oh, and with >60 years of collection. I'm sure the audience would love to see a full stack video of your collection. It would be nice 👀:) 🙂

@@hi-ol-ag4811 Someone with computer skills could certainly do a program to GRADE your most collected coins and actually do away with ALL the cert. Companies....release the program for collectors to get and standardize the grading industry....BUT you would hear a great uproar from PCGS, NGC. ANACS. ET AL as they realize that they will be losing a multi-million $ industry, for standardization!
