I feel like the concept of using a large, horrific creature to dispose of dead bodies during a war is in and of itself an interesting idea to explore in some sort of narrative. I can just imagine an experienced soldier taking a rookie over to where they keep the meat snake and telling them, "If you die, that's where you're going." Is it considered an honor to be eaten by the creature (an extension of dying in battle considering an honorable death) or does it haunt the soldiers dreams, knowing they're just feed for a monster?

34:45 Octopi actually have peculiar nerve distribution, while most creatures have the majority of their nerves clustered in one place like a Brain or a Ganglium, the Octopi have the nerves spread out all over their bodies, such that the mass of nerves inside where the brain is supposed to be is less than in the rest of the body. It's about 2/5 of the nerves in the brain, the Rest goes all around. And as a result of that, their tentacles can function independent from instruction of a brain. Often times if one of the tentacles is severed from the main body, it will continue to scavenge for food and proceed to drag it toward a non-existent mouth hole.

When i watched the series i also went "Of course there's mimics.." when i got to it, just because its been done so many times, especially these past few years, but i think this series redeems itself a little with it's other creative creatures. It just doesn't *need* the mimics because of the other established dangerous creatures that can harm humans. The Mimic is cool but in a "I've seen this before already" way, its good and familiar but SO overused. But i love that you got to reacting to this series and covering it. I also think that the story of the prince is the backstory of the crawl but from *its* perspective. Also keep in mind the *kind* of technology that the crawl goes to, radio stations and old satellites.. may be important ;)
