Method
Clean the rice thoroughly 3 to 4
times to minimize the startch
content.
In a pressure cooker,
boil 3/4th water and
cook the rice for 1 whistle.
Turn off the flame,
soon after the whistle.
Place the
cooker under tap water till
it cools down. Then remove the weight and open the lid. Drain the water. Add some lukewarm water to it
and stir
well to remove the excess startch
content. Now the soft
rice is ready. Have it with
Rasam.
