Like hearing 'Pictures" FOR THE FIRST TIME. Intensely personal ingenious performance....passionate, intellectual....strains credulity.....BRAVO MAESTRO....from Acapulco!

Yeah, definitely for that weird slow pace at the beginning.

Wow, really great interpretation. I agree with another commenter that he made the slower tempo really work in that room full of fantastic natural reverb. At first it throws you off because it's unexpected, but after a couple minutes it feels like it should've always been that way.

Thank you, ADGO. Love listening to Mr Ugorski. (He was 3 months younger than I am. My ancestors also Russian. Feel a kind of kinship.)

A very moving and atmospheric performance. He makes the often slower than usual tempi work beautifully with the acoustics of the venue. Thanks so much for this and your other wonderful Ugorski uploads. He was one of a kind and will be missed by those who enjoyed his music making. We are fortunate that he left us a recorded legacy of his artistry.

May be awkward, and not used to the interpretation at first. But more you hear, it seems more natural, and i really thinkthis is one of the great rendition that has the greatest match with tempo and naturality.

So different from Horowitz’s demented and brilliant Pictures. This is sad and makes me reflect on the tragedy of Musorgsky.
