In this Thailand Travel Vlog, we stay close to Bangkok and visit 3 amazing places by taking the BTS skytrain! While these locations are all in Samut Prakan province, they are less than an hour from the center of Bangkok and really easy to reach on a day trip! The three places are: The Erawan Museum, The Ancient City of Bangkok (Muangboran), and we ended the day watching all the seagulls at Bang Pu! It was such a great day!!!
We ended up going to both the Erawan Museum and Ancient City because we found a combined discount ticket on klook. It was basically half off the normal admission! You can find the same ticket here:

First we took the BTS from Bangkok to Chang Erawan Station. From there it's a little less than a 10 minute walk from the BTS to the Erawan Museum. While we'd heard of the Erawan Museum before, this was our first time actually going there. We were so surprised - the museum was amazing!!! The museum is actually inside the giant 3 headed Erawan elephant statue! It's split into 3 realms: the underworld, the earth, and the cosmos. All 3 parts were super cool! The museum is also surrounded by really pretty gardens full of lots of elephant statues. While we didn't come in 'temple clothes', there are free clothes you can borrow to cover up (although some people did not cover up at all).
After the Erawan Museum, we jumped back on the BTS to the final station: Kheha down in Samut Prakan. From Asok BTS station in Sukhumvit to Kheha station in Samut Prakan it's 19 stops (or 38 minutes). From Kheha station it's a 5-10 minute drive to the Ancient City Museum. You can jump on a songthaew or just take a normal taxi (both times we've been to Ancient City there have been many taxis waiting at the BTS station). It's less than 100 baht in a taxi one way.
We stopped by House 44 to grab some Thai food for lunch! House 44 is about a 10 minute walk from the Kheha BTS station and it's such a cute restaurant!
After lunch we grabbed a quick taxi to the Ancient City (also known as Muangboran). We rented a golf cart to explore the complex as it is HUGE! It's the largest outdoor museum in the world so you should definitely have more transportation than just walking. Ancient City has over 100 different temples from all over Thailand - as well as some that are only found here at Ancient City! There are replicas of the Grand Palace in Bangkok and even some replicas from old temples that were destroyed in Ayutthaya!
When we were ready to leave Ancient City, instead of heading back to Bangkok we decided to take another taxi just 10 minutes farther to Bang Pu in Samut Prakan. We had never heard of Bang Pu until many of you commented on our videos to let us know about it!! Bang Pu is famous because during Thailand's winter (from December-February) there are thousands of seagulls that migrate here from Japan! We were so surprised by how many people there were watching - and especially by how many seagulls we saw! They were EVERYWHERE!!! It was such a cool thing to experience! After that it was easy to find a taxi, go back to the BTS, and return to Bangkok!
