@@FeyHunt do remember that I read them back when they were released so I was caught with prior hype so I may be biased and care little for structuring of the stories to a certain degree, but more on the fact that they are significant/important or felt personally good. Vigilo is my personal favorite tho.

@@watshappening8768 I think you can tell if a story is good or not based on its goal. If that goal is not even good, then they'll have a rough time to make it pleasant to enjoy. If you enjoyed the story because it has some significant lore implications, then that's your way of judging it. And there's nothing wrong with that! That means you appreciate stories that have clear objectives. There's certainly other ways to judge a story, some more subjective. For example, my dislike of cliched tropes could lower my review for a story.

Lone Trail (the current event) is very nice. Although I'm unsure if it will really be interesting to read without proper context (which is basically a lot of other side stories especially Vigilo). Also it is worth mentioning that some of the stories follow other events. For example for the above mentioned: Stultifera Navis follows the events of Under Tides and Near Light follows the events of Maria Nearl. Il Siracusano and Lingering Echoes are separate events though. All in all Arknights lore is pretty complicated by now and can be confusing at times. Still it is consistent enough but really, really long read.

there's alot of favorite to choose from but my personal one would be guiding ahead, i love the character and interaction and makes me invest alot about laterano and sankta lore in general, and the game love to foreshadow them aswell there's wolumonde and main story victoria arc that i loved the way the conflict is handled i dont think there's a story piece that bothers me, it would prob just touch meh territory but mansfield break is uh the main focus of the story is good enough but they decided to put annoying interruptions that also kinda spoils the focus of the actual event and ruins the pace of reading

Haha, I was about to play Guide Ahead on its rerun until someone stopped me and saying that I should play Code of Brawl first to get to know Fiametta and Mostima. And Code of Brawl is quite... long... so I kinda put it off for later. Maybe as a catch up before Hortus di Escapisimo. How about the other one-offs though? Like Great Chief or Heart of Surging Flame?

@@FeyHunt i'm pretty late to the party, so i've barely played any arknights side story, and just finished main theme recently. I never played code of brawl, but a friend of mine convinced me that i absolutely have to still play guide ahead, and i wasn't disappointed. Ultimately, Guide Ahead is the event and re-invigorated my interest and love for arknights, and cemented it. I don't think i can leave now even if i'd want to :D So yeah, try it for sure, it's very good.

I think the early stories aren't generally that great, and I'm personally not a big fan of the whole Sui storyline, because, while it gets more substantial for the Arknights world later on, it feels like a shoehorned in seasonal story, similar to how MMOs tend to put in Christmas events and shoehorn in some reason why the festivities exist in a completely different world to our own. The best story for sure is the whole Kazimierz saga. It even rivals the main story and sometimes trumps it. A spark in Darkness is an amazing short story that introduces Victoria as a setting. A walk in the dust is certainly incredible and massively important for context with tons of Kal'tsit exposure (certainly the most important character in Arknights). Orignium Dust, the rainbow 6 siege story, is the best introduction story to world of Arknights, which does a way better job than the original introduction thanks to us learning together with the team rainbow members and with the rerun announced on CN we may finally get more and some reruns. The Abyssal hunters lore is slowly getting somewhere, but I still think it is vastly overrated in the community, it is very slow and so far got better and better, but is nowhere near some of the actual great stories. Rhine labs is obviously super fascinating and with the new limited banner will be expanded greatly, but without that expansion that is coming soon it is still in the infancy of a good story.

Wow, so basically all multi-parters are better than one-offs? Very interesting! I probably should finished Sui saga first before moving to Kazimierz or the Seaborn. But I might take a peek into some parts here and there. To get to the better parts of the Main Theme, I dreaded having to play through Chapter 1-5... The quality is just... Blegh. That Chapter 6 better be worth going through that slog.

Any reason why you didnt rank previous story that you've covered before like siracusano and firelight? Also for story that i highly recommend is actually the r6s collab lol, its frankly an amazing isekai story but its still long way before we get rerun for that it seems.

if monsterhunter crossover event is D then i sadly gotta say there is no S tier for you in there. Arknights is rather solid in writing not really jumping much in quality. but it all comes down to personal preference. I for one like the sui storyline, Love the Kazimierz storyline and hate the abyssal storyline.

Well... MonHun crossover is just atrocious in my opinion. But I don't think my standard in unreasonable. I almost put Ancient Forge at S just because of that twist in the end, which is pretty rare in any gacha games. I think S tier should only be reserved for 1-3 stories. Gotta make that spot special, you know? I have a feeling that the Sui storyline is gonna take a hit on Who is Real from my current review process so far. I've also started on Maria Nearl, and... it's actually quite good so far! Let's see if they can keep it up.

@FeyHunt the mh crossover event built lore around a place we practically never saw on terra - higashi, and it gave deeper inside about 2 operators that have been there since day one. Arknights likes to give some of the lower tier ops some space in crossover events. Same in the R6S collab. The mh event could also be considered fan service as there a relationship got elaborated that was hinted at for 3.5 years till then. But it all goes back to my last statement it all is just personal opinion

@@torstwolf8742 I just don't get where people saw that there is any shipping plot in that event. Sure, Corne does have a thing for her, but Yato is insufferable in that event. She is nothing like the Yato we read in her files, or in her voicelines. That's one of my complaints in my video on that event. Gameplay? Great! Characterization? Very bad. Again, I don't understand why people got so happy with almost no positive interaction between Yato and Corne. Plus, I also hate how that old hunter steals the show. If the event is more about Yato/Corne, I would rank it higher. Also, I can't believe there is no Higashi storyline yet... We basically have all stories for all nations, except for Rim Billiton too I guess...

@@FeyHunt Monster Hunter collab looks standard story on the surface but it has a lot of MH touch and pretty interesting thoughts on major Ark problem (originium infestation). But most surely reading it as a first event is sort of disappointment because its story is very secondary and one can only appreciate it after becoming fan of Ark (or MH but that's irrelevant).
