In Hindu temples, it is a practice to depict stories of Ramayana, Bhagavatam, maha bharata, stories of great people etc. As the content is high, every body who reads them will have their own perspective and imagination. As the imagination has no limits, we are seeing different perspective. In any era there are unknowns, exploration like these can be helpful. But it cannot give the actual fact.

I agree the colors help to visualise clearly, but I sometimes feel a bit let down by the presentation, as after raising a topic and a bit of speculation, just when one expects more details, it doesn't come and another new topic is raised. It would be nice if each topic that is raised is analysed in depth. As regards to the name of the place, Maiyam means centre and Thiru is a honorific or could mean divine. So why is this place named the divine centre?

Just came across this channel and absolutely loved the way you presented things. What would seem like an uninterested glance for most tourists at one of those pillars turned out to hold so much history, science, archeology and general information about its creation and creator. Your narration conjured images of a time when it would have held so much glory for a civilization that created it and is being presented with pride for all posterity. So before we glance away let's take a collective pause and pay obeisance to our own ancient ancestors who are screaming from these walls to make us aware that we are worth something.

These carvings have meanings which are usually metaphysical in nature. Another point to note is that ancient Hindus temples were not actually places of worship but places of 'Learning & Research'. Small villages had smaller Temples and larger Towns had larger Temples just like we now have smaller schools and large Universities. The Carvings in the Temples were also part of the curriculum which were made for the students to decipher at their own through 'self-realisation'. Even today most 'Realised Hindu Gurus' use the same method to teach.

I request you to take up one temple and analyse all arts carved and explain in details as to time of carving, concepts then, historical story or mythological story associated with these carvings. So that one visits the said temple he is enriched with knowledge and enjoy these arts more meaningfully. Now 99.99% tourists visit these temples as one of the ancient monuments. Thats all. Another Amazing Temple Praveen! The carvings/fine art is incredible! The work and Love that went into this structure is pure Spirit! Giant skeletons have been found through out the world and hidden to protect those histories we’ve been taught that may well not be true and many are false. No scientist seems to ask the Elders about their histories. Instead they assume according to the backgrounds of those cultures they come from. Like me from Pennsylvania telling you what your temples mean based on the Amish in my neighborhood. There are degrees that are closed minded, one sided and refuse to listen to other opinions or Elders. The oral traditions of the Indigenous People are more accurate than most of the hear say we’ve been indoctrinated to believe. Kind Thanks Praveen with Many Blessings Love, Light, Peace and Joy of Being! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

That's absolutely true. Oral tradititions have been so accurate that while the languages and their pronunciations kept on changing, they invented phonetic symbols to maintain exact pronunciations thru the ages and generations. Often people even did not know the meaning of what they say, but they say exactly what was several millenia earlier.

3:27 is the Nayanar devotee Kanappa, he is Arjun of Mahabharat reincarnated in Kaliyug. Kanappa was an adivasi/forest dweller and a devotee of Shivling in the forest. Once he saw Shivling eyes pouring blood, so he took out his own eye and replaced it on shivling. Then he saw the 2nd eye pouring blood on shivling so he takes off his 2nd eye aswell but keeps his feet on the eye of shivling as a location marker to know where to place his eye on the shivling. He gets moksha. Although this carving shows he's on top of shivling, probably the real story is something else as carved here. 15:11 Gajendra Moksha story, the elephant a Vishnu devotee recited and gave the world Gajendra Moksha strotra. He gets moksha aswell alongwith the crocodile. I like this picture of Vishnu carrying Gajendra, cuteness overload :)

Praveen is just an immense treasure of knowledge . Even if one came upon these carvings and markings on the idols in temples people wouldnt be able to relate it to its exact meaning and purpose unless they have sufficient knowledge in all other areas of science . Praveen's knowledge is really vast that he can spot something unique and then go ahead and find its exact relation to another topic in science . I have to bow down to praveen and his keen observational spirit and his quest to understand and share all the deep meanings that have been carved into these magnificient ancient temples . With every new video I am just speechless and completely blown away by what Praveen shares . We need more such people in india and from around the world to completely understand the knowledge possesed by our ancestors . Praveen is a INDIANA JONES or NATHAN DRAKE in real life .

As for the marine business of the ancient Tamil people we have the excavations from Adichanalloor, from where skeletal remains of sea divers were found, (perhaps pearl hunters). Strangely, these people were Mediterranean, say scholars. There are a lot of references to pearl hunting in Sangham literature. Great work, as usual. Thank you very much.

Actually, this is what i see in those carvings and sulptures: we live their lives. Praqveen bhai showed the sculptures where men were using devices we use now like mobile, tabblad or laptop etc... They are the proof of how humans developed through time. They were already much ahead of us but somehow many powers have been taken away from us in present. THis is also a proof that there was sophisticated life instead of cavemen in West.

Great content as always! I'm curious on the Temple Tank part. There could be hidden doors leading underground where ancient builders can observe the marine creatures from the tank. I'm thinking some sort of transparent glass (or any transparent material) as side walls just like how we watch marine shows from a marine/ocean park.

@@donstclair4619 You say Christianity is like Hinduism? We Christians believe that God sent Jesus to pay for our sins on the Cross, and that when he rose from the dead that proved his victory over sin and death. We Christians try to live a good life, yet know we are still sinful and can never get to heaven by our own good works.. We can only be saved via Christ's atonement on the Cross. How is this like Hinduism? We do believe in loving our neighbours and treating all people like we ourselves would like to be treated... and yet that can never remove our sins.

@@twikiriwhi no, he meant, Hindusim also has the practices of kindness forgiveness and mercifulness! Which are the practice of Jesus Christ. Hindus do consider Jesus Christ a lot. There is no one like that ever existed. I was a Jihad once a mujahid Islamic soldier. In Islam jihad is the biggest deed we can do to make allah happy. Kìlling, torturing, ræping non-believers of Islam! Because Allah hates non-believers of Islam. And my Ummah or the community always say Christians are bad. But when i know when muslims kìll them, they actually pray for us to become Christians. Non-violence always wins! Half of my family was kìlled by Islamist, because they think they practiced different Islam and other different. A common thing in Islam so we kìll eachother. RasulAllah said to do so; than i realised there is no hope in Islam and left it. Than i was an atheist, i have met many Hindus Christians and many people. I would suggest you to read Hindu stories, you dont have to believe it but knowing it makes everything much easier, why? Because it has a different perspective of timeline of the world and universe and how world resets etc. A small piece 👇🏽 According to Vedas in Yuga cycle the ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and physical strength. Satya Yuga - Virtue reigns supreme. Human stature was 21 cubits (33 ft 6 inches). Average human lifespan was 100,000 years. Treta Yuga - There was 3 quarter virtue and 1 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 14 cubits (22 ft 4 inches). Average human lifespan was 10,000 years. Dwapara Yuga - There was 1 half virtue and 1 half sin. Normal human stature was 7 cubits (11 ft 2 inches). Average human lifespan was 1,000 years. Kali Yuga - There is 1 quarter virtue and 3 quarter sin. Normal human stature is 3.5 cubits (5 ft 3 inches). Average human lifespan will be 100 years.
