I started playing with Quake World Team Fortress was back, I played lot's of TFC, I really enjoyed Fortress Forever, TF2 is the very first game I pre ordered in my life, I have greatly enjoyed Overwatch, still playing TF2 and greatly enjoy the Meat Fortress mode in H3VR.

It's so magical to see old community made footage, there's something about those old school days that's completely irreplaceable. It's funny to think that in 10 or so years people will be looking back at 2020-2022 with nostalgia. Just goes to show how rapidly a community develops over time.

Clearly tf2 in 2007-2013 were the best time ever and community wasn't so cringe and toxic just like now. Also the playerbase wasn't full of dip shits, nobody accused of cheating, being upset about getting killed in the video game.

There was an old tf2 video simply called "D:" where an engie builds a dispenser. A demo is watching him from afar and says "that's a right pretty bra-washer ya built there ya big ugly girl!" and then it zooms in on the engine's face just going... well, "D:" It's nothing spectacular but I thought it was funny as a kid and now can't find it at all. it's possibly deleted by now or just lost to time

Yeah but it’s kind of like ricochet kind of loses its magic when you have to join some discord or newsletter and have coordinated times to get on. When you can’t just pop in and find at least a few people to play with it’s just not worth it for the casual player.

And by the way, I forgot to say that the taunt exploit you are talking about never got patched but instead it was turned to 0 by default instead of 1. If you want to know what I’m talking about, go on your own private server and type in the developer console tf_allow_taunt_switch 1 and THEN do the exploit if you still remember how to do it. It will start to work again after you type in this command. The reason it doesn’t work anymore for public servers is because stupid valve set the command to 0 instead of 1 as the default. Back in 2007, the command was always set to 1 in public servers by default. I made a video of it on my channel just recently in august of 2022 and it’s my only video I ever made so far, so you should go check it out if you want. Valve REALLY needs to set it to 1 by default again!!!!!!!

So kind of funny sometime after this year old video came out, they broke boolean operators, or at least search performed with boolean operators. Which kinda sucks because it makes it virtually impossible to find old YTPs without a direct link.

The gamevideos clip at around 7:20 is actually cut up from the "1UP show", which features all of those clips throughout the video. Someone then cut out only the gameplay bits and uploaded it to KZitem.

Ive been trying to find old GMOD videos. There was one where its like 10 second clips of GMOD randomness. I don't mean idiot box. it was another compilation and it used the batman transition sound everytime it went to the next clip. Only thing i really remember from those vids was "Its okay to be gay" by tomboy and Afromans because i got high, with one of the civs just sitting on a couch while a hose was flailing about with smoke coming out of it.

2:54 smallfort was my favorite TFC map back then. I still keep the "tfc" folder that i had and play smallfort with bots time to time. No one can capture the other team's flag because they slaughter each other in the water area and cannot go into enemy base lol

@@DibbsonGibbs402 it features the tf2 mercenaries . the beta one . the demoman even use dynamite . all i remember that the spy was the central villain of that gmod animation and did sap a sentry as backstab a heavy . i don't' remember the plot or anything . but i do remember the demoman putting a dynamite in corridor . trying to lure the other team to get to him . (i am pretty sure it was around 2007-08 when i saw it ) it was one of those old school gmod animation (not sure if it was sfm either) where everyone movement is stiff because it was animated by hand . and the mercenaries do use the default walking animation from tf2 . only when animating them talking or spy sapping they use those stiff hand done animation .

Damn good video, it's really bittersweet if you think about. I still have fond memories playing tf2 on xbox 360 back in 2008, this video will too eventually become ancient, a memory from another time and I wonder, will you still remember this video you made? well, I did first Start TF2 back in Late 2012 when I was young, but the players really hate me if I didn't meet the Age Requirement since this game is Rated M for Mature. I did enjoyed playing Paladins for a year since 2020 until I switched back to TF2 in 2021. My Old Account Since 2012 is gone so, my New and Current Account since November 11th, 2016 was still here as andresgamer2003.
