Ugh… I hate I have to do this but , and I’ll say the only thing I’ve seen of this show is your videos .. but I ( ick ) have to defend Miranda about meeting the professor . It’s not that she was surprised a woman of color could be the professor , she took the class because of that , she didn’t recognize her with the braids because she didn’t have them in her school photo … I just don’t know why she didn’t let that little shit who told her to move handle the situation ..lol… PLUS (!!) it was the first day of class how did that 12 year old know that that was where the professor sat … whew , ok … keep it up , you’re doing gods work

If the writers wanted to add diversify…why didn’t they do something with Lily’s character! Lily is adopted from China. They could have easily done something with Lily trying to reconnect with her Asian roots and her learning more about Chinese culture. The family could be supportive of her journey but Charolette could also be struggling with “was I a good mom?” since her daughter is maybe trying to distance herself from being “American” (I’m just spit balling ideas here)

That’s what I thought!!! They could do a whole show on Charlottes whole situation now and it would be one thousand times better! There are so many plot lines! Lily growing up as an adopted kid, her growing up in a Jewish WASP family (oxymoron I know but best way to describe it) her being the sister to Rock who is, or at least SHOULD, be going through things to talk through! Does Lily feel pressure to be the “perfect” child, does she feel different, so much to go into and that’s only ONE character in her family! I swear they could just focus on this one family for the rest of the show, add a laugh track and you have the next sitcom on Freeform. Why are we writing better shows in the comments section than they can with all that big HBO money?

Laziest writing ever!!! Literally the characters already existed,their back story and previous struggles were already there.The core fundamentals were all there and yet they still couldn’t use any of that as the base 🤦🏻♀️ It’s like the worst melting pot of wokeness and the writers/actors wanting to put way to much of their personal lives into this. We get it… they all think their every thought and action are ground breaking and extremely interesting but I hate to tell them it just might not be.They should have left Bigs parts in… I feel like any storyline Carrie would’ve had has been destroyed with all his scenes removed. Why isn’t Carrie writing ? I can not ask this questions enough. Why not replace the scenes where she was having her thoughts with Big be replaced with her writing out those thoughts? Why isn’t she writing about what happens when you lose the love of your life? Why isn’t the show taking us through a journey of her seeing New York as her life line? They could have done so much more as far as her falling back In love or reminiscing with her old love ❤️ NYC… So many missed opportunities. And I personally think it’s probably best if a show doesn’t showcase a character that started out as a child and the audience watched them grow up so to speak in a sexually way. Most of us don’t want to see that.

I think a great way to close out the series would be her moving to a new city. Imagine how gut wretching it is to live in this big city and feel alone without Big. Everything reminds her of him because they were together for so long. It would be interesting to see her go a crazy because she can't escape the memories (like how she left the apartment but on a larger scale). I think it's messed up that she fled the apartment so quick because of memories, but she stays in the city and is ok in three weeks. No vacation, no running away, no extended time off work, nothing! It's just an idea, I love yours as well because it makes sense, the city was her first love.

The only one I disagreed with was the idea that Anthony was being sooo hateful by not immediately affirming Rose as trans. Anthony was a responsible adult, doing what responsible adults are supposed to do! Kids at that age don't know themselves yet, they're highly susceptible to outside influence, whether that's from their peers or from television or a literal influencer platform like TikTok! (Or other social media.) Who is the same person and likes all the same things they liked at 13, by 15? Or 18? Or 25? Kids grow and change and should be allowed to explore that without being boxed in by it. They even showed Anthony saying "if that's what she is we'll support her" and Mojo acted like there was something wrong with that? What on earth. And before anyone starts, trans is not the same as being gay. Being gay won't harm her. Putting Rose on the trans path at that age could lead to mastectomy, hysterectomy, and permanent sterilization, as well as permanent damage to her voice and growth of facial hair. Stuff she can never undo if she desists. Those aren't consequences anyone should take lightly. Caution is ABSOLUTELY the right path to take when your kid comes to you and says they're trans! The alternative is so irresponsible it's child abuse. I mean, "watchful waiting" literally used to be the medical standard for gender dysphoria in kids! Now it's blind affirmation of whatever they say. What the hell happened? When did everyone switch off their brains on this issue, and how do we turn them back on again, please?

Right! Like, when Miranda was involved with Robert. It was just organic. He moved into her building, he was hot/had chemistry with Miranda, and they explored it. He was just another guy, his color was never an issue.

My problem with the Che/Miranda storyline is the writers stole that whole 'fingering' thing from the L-Word. Wasn't that how Jenny was introduced to the world of gal on gal but it was in a bathroom and done really well. Che is not Shane...her character reminds me of every guy out there picking up women for casual sex in a club so if this is woke...i'm snoozing. Shane was sexy, Samantha was sexy...Chambo is not. I remember when Carrie walked in on Samantha going down on the fed-ex guy and didn't speak to her for a long time. Now Miranda is getting down in her kitchen with the help but hey no problem. Lord please please make this show go away and the writers lose their guild cards...I promise to be good 😉

I am so disappointed with this show. I feel like I’m still grieving for Big during & after every episode (& of course I’m really grieving for Willie Garson, what a terrible loss) 😢😢 Also what they’ve done to Steve & Harry is disgusting, making them into complete morons. I also wonder where Stanford’s character would have fitted in? Anthony’s role is so small & insignificant, is he playing Stanfords role? I like the new girls they’ve introduced but why are they there? They’ve always just had each other, that’s what it’s always been about isn’t it? Those texts that Carrie sends & receives-I have absolutely no idea what they say because I can’t see them! Also it’s supposed to be 20 years on but Carrie is 55 & 20 years ago she was 38 with Alexandr. They should all be closer to 60. I can’t believe that Carrie & Big’s apartment became so beige & colourless as they both loved colour 🤷🏻♀️ There is a continuity problem with the two shows- SATC & AJLT which should have been addressed before production started. Also, can someone tell me what’s going on with Carrie’s UGLY shoes? They’re awful! Why would she wear ugly silver platforms to paint walls in Brooklyn? (Episode 9) Is there a second series planned? How many episodes are in this current series? I’m so disappointed yet I can’t stop watching it. It’s like the proverbial train wreck. I miss Willie Garson & Chris Noth. Even his part in Episode 1 was one of the most cringeworthy things I’ve ever seen. It was a HUGE mistake killing him off. There is no Carrie without Big. Another thing, Kristen Davis has obviously gained a lot of weight which is ok because she still looks beautiful & so real BUT why aren’t they dressing her in more appropriate clothes? She’s either wearing billowing dresses or skirts which accentuate her behind or something skin tight which looks just as awful, if not worse. There are so many different styles of clever clothes that could really make her look as fantastic as she is! Her wardrobe department is letting her down dreadfully (as well as the girls out here in the real world who have gained weight as well!). Sorry this is so long but I have so much to get off my chest & this is only about half of it! Thanks for reading this girls ❤️

Let’s talk about Harry, Charlotte and his Johnson in the bathroom. It was an absolute low in the series. Miranda faked being a lesbian for advancement in her company in the original series only to kiss in the elevator and be declared straight🤷🏾♀️All I’m saying is tell us what happened to Debbie who Steve dated and Miranda broke them up? What happened to Aidan…he owned the restaurant with Steve. There are so many developments that could have taken place. They could have given Carrie the ability to be a stepmom to Aidan’s children or even offed Big earlier and let Carrie have a chance to enjoy settling down to become a mom. Where is Alexander Patroski 🙆🏾♀️ I’m ripping my hair out…the literally focused on black people, we, they and everyone in 1 episode and then the next abandoned a developing story. Who is writing this??? Please let this all be a bad book that Carrie never publishes in the end and she is really a suburban mom with dreams of city living.

Check out Megan Fox channel yesterday. She says that Cynthia Nixon herself said that she's not a writer just directed an episode so I think she's acknowledging the writing's bad and also somebody said it would be funny if Steve was riding a Peloton looking out his window well all three girls got hit by a bus or something and that's how it ends. Haha

Anthony's character identifies as a gay male. Why would the writers assume he should have advice or experience about trans children? Anthony isn't transgender. I'm a straight, cis female age 56, and if I had a child who expressed these feelings I would google search LGBTQ+ family resources online, to get information from other parents of trans children, not run to my nearest gay friend, because they would probably say "why are you asking me, I'm not trans?" It's like expecting every black person you meet to love rap music or know what it's like to live in the projects. It's offensive and ignorant. What world do these writers live in?

Since the sad passing of Betty White, I've been watching some Golden Girls episodes. Those senior women are written as relatable, vital funny kind awesome people. So why why why are AJLT written as if they're ancient, decrepit and awkwardly stupid in handling every situation. It's unwatchable & insults my brain.

They've evolved the characters badly. Carrie comes off marginally better. Intimate scenes with Samantha always had some element of humour, we laughed. With the kitchen scene, shock was probably the first reaction. Otherwise Miranda is practically unrecognisable: she was the hardnut of the group but has lost that. Good poll by Ms Mojo and good that people are having their say. The writers would probably not even see why these criticisms are glaringly obvious. Dreading season 2 ! Thanks !

IDK if anyone has ever mentioned this but the actor that plays Steve, David Eigenberg, has another full-time role on Chicago PD and they do like 20-23 episodes per season so that might be why he’s not in very many episodes here and/or why they might be eliminating him from the show altogether. Just a thought.
@marydevoid2371

Actually David Eigenberg plays Christopher Herman on Chicago Fire, not PD. Wonderful show, wonderful role, wonderful actor! Eigenberg is such a believable actor, still handsome and funny. In his Chicago Fire role he is a man of integrity, happily married with kids. And guess what? His wife loves and appreciates him! The best justice for Steve is that everyone forgets that this shit load of shitty pants called AJLT ever happened, and we all fondly remember him as the handsome, sexy, funny guy we all loved. Now that's justice for Steve!! 😊

Oops, my bad on the typo!! I love all three Chicago shows and I really love his character on Chicago Fire as well as his character on AJLT. @@nemanjaras True, but this show is limited to 10 episodes. It's true I haven't read all other comments, yet why has no one commented scene where Charlotte is using profanity like "pro-proser"! She says fu*k and other words very unlike the character we've come to love or not. That is opinion grounded. Another thing is about Miranda how she feels totally justified with her adulterous affair with Che, yet when Steve had one indiscretion she goes at him with not a sliver of empathy just judgments galore! When did her values and morals become so bendy, flexible? When it serves her purpose. I am beyond disappointed in how the writer's played this out. And about the fashions,huh? Who? Why? How? Why? These ten episodes were one cringe fest after another. I am sure Ms. Cattrall is, if so inclined, gloating from time to time. I LOVE THIS PLATFORM AND ALL WHO COME TO PLAY. YOU ROCK!

Does it bother anyone else that they simulated Brady and his girlfriend having actual sex in episode 2? I think this is beyond cringy and delving into super disturbing, the disturbing depths of MPK’s mind. And we already know that once they’re done Brady’s going to throw his used condom on the floor like an animal, and then Miranda’s going to step on it. She freaks out that he had a hit of weed in public (totally warranted), but this behavior is okay? Thanks, MPK, the nightmares are real.

I partially blame Ms Mojo for being part of what caused AJLT to be woke af. Their commentary was filled with videos of SATC and how they were not woke enough in the 90s and created some revisionist history about the series. So AJLT listened to them and others and guess what.....it sucks.

The Lily/period stuff would for sure be on my list, it was so cringe and I seriously don’t get what the writers thought it would add to the storyline. Why do smart, educated women from the original series act like they have been frozen in time? But they are less in touch with reality than they were in their 30s. Why?? How did they get so out of touch, and why is their age always referenced as the cause? 50s is NOT old, it’s not a reason why people would be living so out of touch.

@Grains_of_truth

I have a theory - Maybe the writers are going to have Charlotte, Miranda and Carries single again. Miranda chasing Che leaving her family and marriage over them and the foreshadowing of Che being very sexually open. Maybe Che will want to push boundaries, have open relationships, cheat on Miranda and she will see she made a huge mistake and will be single Charlotte foreshadowing Harry stomach troubles and perhaps he will get cancer or die in surgeryor something. I can’t be the only one shocked how Harry looks now being so unwell and thin looking but if it’s to go with the health problem storyline, it would make sense. Maybe Charlotte will have to nurse Harry who may pass away making her single Carrie is a widow now after Mr Big passing and the crazy timeline making it confusing to know how much time has passed but will embrace being single. Hopefully the dressing of the characters as though they are in their eighties will be turned around to be fashionable again. Maybe once all are single they will realise life is too short to dress like a grandma or crazy street lady ( re the straw hat with pink flowers or the headscarf with gingham dress and rubber gloves) they will reinvent themselves. Perhaps when all three are single again, they will realise they are stronger together as single fifty something women who are glamorous and embracing life. A side note, I am forty this year and horrified by the constant ageing comments constantly in the show; it is making me frown! I was a fashion stylist in my career for editorials for over a decade. The way the clothing designer dresses the characters is terrible in my opinion. The wardrobes remind me of someone new to styling who is trying too hard to put together crazy out there looks but just throw random pieces together without thought. It baffles me that the clothing is so unflattering and looks so out there without considering their shape, style, colour, fashion or awareness.
