For anyone saying he wow h survived, it’s very undisputed for alligators to attack humans. It’s documented sure but I have soloed kayaked in places in Florida and they were bobbing up and down. Very curious scared creatures

I know some gators jump in the water when fishermen are around because 1) they either want to steal your fish or 2) they don’t want to be killed themselves (In the south, people actually “fish” for them and kill them with a boom stick, basically a shotgun shell and firing pin on the end of a pole that they use on the back of the gator’s head)

That ain't nothing when we where kids, we used to wade the creeks, fishing as we went, usually with a stringer of fish tied to our belt, this is in south Alabama. I don't understand why people now a days are so scared of the out doors, hell even the movie jaws didn't stop us from swimming in the gulf

Armand Bayou is full of gators. Don't worry, you are safe in a Kayak or canoe. About 5 years ago TPW pulled a 13 foot mother out and transferred her to the gator sanctuary down south. These are afraid of humans. Do not feed them.

I know that feeling of fear I was in my Hobie one day fishing in salt water caught a lady fish and a big old 6 foot bull shark jumped 8 inches away from my head along the side of my kayak to get that lady fish from me scariest thing that’s ever happened

This guy must not live near alligators because I watched this laughing at his reaction. Ive swam in rivers where an alligator popped up 20 feet away. And I’ve seen crocs on land. If you’re aware of them and their behavior you’ll have zero issues. I love bringing friends from out of town who freak out 100 yards away. Maybe not in Australia tho. Those f*ers are gnarly.
