I was 15 the first time I saw Yes in Montréal, Canada. They became instantly my favorite band then. Now, 35 years later, they still put tears in my eyes even after several hundreds listening. No one can orchestrate like they do.

I've listened to this song on the Yessongs album countless times, at night in the dark, drifting away on these fantastic sounds; and now at last I've seen what the blessed audience witnessed visually, and that Steve Howe used a steel guitar and a double-necked tremolo guitar, and Rick Wakeman looked like a priest, and Jon Anderson like a yogi. Wonderful. Precious. Thank you.

My first rock concert ever was Yes at age 15 back in 1975. A friend gave me a ticket. I had never heard Yes' music before. What an introduction to live rock n roll. One of those experiences in life that transends. Will never forget it.

Wow! One (one) of my favs too. I've only seen Yes live on tv, but they are so amazing. Their songs are so difficult, so complicated, with starts and stops and changes, and they NEVER miss a beat! Some of the best virtuosos in rock and roll. Bar none!

"What a GREAT SONG!" The thoughts in this song may truly encapsulate, the whole idea, of the "Hippie or Love generation!" Not the same as what people think that music is,but, on the whole, the message here "IS SOUND," and it's complete, both figuratively and metaphorically! On KZitem, "YES" never grows old, and this "symphonic rock concerto" will live forever!!!

Agree they are still - and always will be - spectacular. Glad they continue to inspire new fans too! I have not seen them since the Union tour - but comparing live clips of the various tours, they (naturally) struggle vocally in the recent ones. Hey, never said they're "washed up" and would never even think it. God if only all of us could sound this good through 1% of our lives....

Yes were the first indoor concert i ever went too , Me and my mate Bill meet the band when they arrived , that week i bought Close to the edge the day before ,I was amazed , I had never heard a band that could play so well . When the band return to England they told the NME reporter that there concerts in Sydney were some of the best they ever did , Jon was right they were truly amazing band live that night at the Hordon Pavilion .

Jon Anderson's voice always makes me mindful of the singing voices of Tolkien's Elves. From the book, not from the movies. I wore this side of the Close to the Edge album out, twice, before the cd version was released. There was nothing that could calm and entrance a getting-a-bit-rowdy party crowd like any album by Yes. It was one of my secrets to never having neighbors call the po-lice on any of my 70s era parties.

One more comment. Yes is one of the few bands that I prefer the live version of the songs over the studio version. Yes was such an amazing and powerful live act. It doesn't get much better than the original Yessongs recording.

One of the things you do not see nor hear very well is Chris Squire playing the Moog bass pedals when played live back then they put some rumble in the low end, that we just went wow you could feel this. Actually sat and had a beer with Steve and Rick "before" they went onstage in Kansas City I think it was 1975 in the Holiday Inn bar across from the downtown auditorium where they were playing. Also saw Topograhics Ocean tour with the Quad PA set while indulging microdots, whoa nellie

Steve Howe breaks out the double neck guitar. When I first saw Page whip one on, my older brother said: "That's his way of telling you he's twice the guitarist you are." Hah. The multiplier is a bit higher than 2. Howe and this band were amazing muscians. And found each other, too. Only in the 70s.
