He responded rather quickly and precisely with everything. Trust me, he can speak English as well as any American can. Look at JDS he learned the majority of the language in one year! Silva just doesn't want to talk to his fans or talk about stuff he doesn't like. If you ask him something he is interested in he will speak English all day! "Anderson if I may, What of Sonn-" "Ed, eu preciso de você aqui agora!" "Oh, hello Mr. Soares"

Funny how people are saying that Anderson would smash Sonner if they fought, they seem to forget that Sonnen holds the record of most landed strikes in the UFC when he beat up Anderson during 5 rounds, and got caught in a last minute triangle/armbar submission.

I really like Chael Sonnen as a fighter (one of my favorites) BUT, he did lose. Not only did he lose, but he was stopped. In MMA, a submission tap-out to the ref is the same as a TKO--its a stoppage. Chael was trying to finish Anderson Silva, unfortunately, he just got "caught" with his arms over extended while Anderson transitioned into a triangle---it happens (just like it did with Filho). I don't doubt that Chael has the ability and confidence to beat Anderson, he should be favored--we'll see

First of all he is not incorrect. There several ways of distinguishing continents, and 7 continent model is the most popular one. As someone who was born, and raised in Europe I can say that when I learned geography in elementary, and high school I was taught 7 continent model. However, you are also correct, because there are people who were taught your type of continent model.

I'll give credit where its due. Chael talks a great game and is a legit top 5 fighter in his weight class, at his best. The problem is that he blew his only real opportunity to defeat an injured Anderson Silva and was tapped out within 30 seconds of becoming the real champ. I understand that Chael has to talk trash to promote fights, but he's not on Anderson's level. He BARELY (if at all) beat Bisping and would get killed by Jon Jones if he moved to LHW. In fact, I dont even see him beating GSP!

And another little thing. New MMA fans tends to be ignorant or just doesn't cares from the past in MMA. Most of that new MMA fans generation don't know who or just forgot was Igor Vovchanchin, Don Frye, Sakuraba Kazushi, Yoshida Hidehiko, Ernesto Hoost (K-1), Andy Hug (K-1), Oleg Taktarov, Mark Kerr, Dan Severn, Rickson Gracie and many other awesome fighters. In a couple of years, another new generation of MMA fans will appear and they won't even know who was Anderson Silva or Jon Jones.
@XtraTrstrL

Anderson doesn't want to be forced to fight Chael Sonnen. Chael might be getting to Anderson mentally because of the fight they had. Despite how easy Anderson should be able to beat down on Chael in a rematch, and how much of an underdog Chael may be going into a rematch - that doesn't account for what's going on in Silva's head right now. It doesn't matter that he had hurt ribs, he still was striking well, and Chael was hanging in there with his awkward stand-up, and got TDs easily.

There is a very noticeable trend regarding Anderson Silva: -When Anderson is the heavy favourite in a fight, he typically doesn't perform too well. Ex: Miaia, Sonnen, Lietes However, when Anderson is fighting someone who is considered to have a fair chance of dethroning him, he is absolutely dominant. Ie. Forrest, Irving, Belfort, Okami, Hendo. For this reason, I will be surprised to see Chael walk out of the first round.

I love Anderson Silva but I really hate how people say that he's cleaned out the middle weight division. He doesn't really fight enough to have done that, yeah he's beaten everyone of his opponents but he still hasn't fought everybody in the division who iss tough you know? No Bisping, no Munoz, no Tim Boestch, he hasn't fought alot of really tough guys so you can't say that he's cleaned out the division in my opinion. Same goes for GSP, Jon Jones and a lot of the divisions' champions.

If you don't know UFC history, let me tell you then. Rorion Gracie and Art Davie (vice-president of K-1 USA) made the 1st UFC along with WOW Produtions and SEG. In April 95, Davie and Gracie sold their interest in the franchise to SEG and disbanded WOW Promotions. In late 90's, an senator tried to ban the UFC from USA, but SEG keep fighting to secure sanctioning for almost a decade, when SEG stood on the brink of bankruptcy and Lorenzo and Frank (ZUFFA) offered a good money to purchase UFC.

No. Hélio Gracie was the person who bring the Judo and Jiu Jitsu from Japan to Brazil in 1910 ~ 1920 and aprimorated it, borning then the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. But it was his older son, named Rorion Gracie, who have gone to US and created the UFC, in 1993, along with Art Davie (K-1 USA vice-president) to show the world the sport who was already being practiced in Brazil many years ago.
