What's the latency like? Could I use this to solder since I have a hard time seeing what I'm doing?

Yes definitely! My eyes get tired nowadays too and this is already a ton of help, especially when doing micro stuff! For larger solder joints I use a magnifying glass on my helping hands sometimes.

@@muteFPV thank you! I'm partly blind. it also helps me for daily stuff sometimes. I'm 51 years old. i lost my vision 10 years ago. since than i couldn't solder etc. but these days hot air solder, microscobe and other stuff helps me back to the stage :) i like vintage 8bit computers. I'm lucky that they are bigger pcbs bigger items on it. easier to work with them with these tools. HDMI out is also great for big monitor and OBS. there are many better models out there but of course they are expensive. I've paid 135 usd (4500 Turkish lira) and I am happy. thanks again i have a quick question if you know it. when i connected HDMI, internal screen goes off. do you know that is it possible keep it on while HDMI connected to external monitor? thank you

I don't think it can work with both monitor + hdmi output, I will have to check mine when I get back from holidays

Hahaha at first I read "tool holder" and imagined you were just looking for excuses to get it :P Joking aside, I am not going back to my cheapo USB microscope. This one has some serious capabilities!

Noted the brushed motor, it will be interesting. The first shots in the FPV MICROCOSMOS video is an FPV camera sensor!

It is definitely worth it! If you don't care about HDMI-out there are cheaper versions from the same company.

pretty amazing that your footage comes from a sub $200 microscope. Really dig this FPV microcosmos series you are making, so cool to see these components from a new perspective!

Thank you very much! Good lighting helps a ton. I had my studio lights lit up together with the built-in lights of the microscope, maybe that helped a bit too. I am open to ideas, if you want to see some specific parts under the microscope, let me know ;)
