"I don't expect anybody to be able to process that in a hurry, especially in the context of a headline". Correct. Agassi is awesome. Total respect for him.

I have read the book and have a new respect for Andre given his honesty. I was initially very disappointed to hear the sound bytes about his meth use, but when read in context and his story explained in it's entirety, it all makes sense. He was a champion on the court and is now post tennis, still a champion.

Whatever else you think, the book does give a very personal insight into the journey so many go on. While not reaching the dizzy heights of Andre Agassi, so many have faced challenges and difficulties and it is a combination of self insight, friends and family that help us through the dark times. Like so many other posts - i too now admire Andre Agassi all the more.

If Agassi took tennis as seriously as Nadal and also playing Australia and Wimbledon in his earlier years he would definitely have around 10-15 slams.

Cari Champion might literally be the worst interviewer/reporter ....ever. Andre would say something well thought and she would just remove the reaction or emotion by speaking, and saying something so stupid. She may have read the book..I honestly doubt it...personally I think it sounded like she got the spark notes or was briefed right before the interview, she showed no preparation for her statements or questions. She mentioned NO TENNIS OR GIL???? Readers know what I am talking about...They should have just edited her out, because what Andre had to say was brilliant. "Open" is a great read
