So, I heard the soft music in the background, I heard a poets voice, but I thought "Nope, not gonna cry, nope, not me"...well... Somehow, whenever I watch a video on this channel, it gets more evident to me how poetry has an untouchable and mysteriously magical side that I can't fully describe, the force to pull people closer to an emotion and let it resonate so deeply in anyone listening.

I was shivering throughout the poem but broke down upon hearing about the lady and those three poor souls at the animal shelter. Thank you for this beauty, Andrea. Stay strong, healthy and so full of love.

I have listened to feminist poems, i have listened to poems about racism, poems about gender equality or against homophobia, poems about mentak illness. But sometimes I really wonder if poetry is all about pain, what about poems such as these? I, for a split second forgot about feminism, homophobia racism. It's been a long while since i spent 5 minutes unaware of hatred. We need more poetry that makes the pain go, at least for some minutes.

I think I’m setting the world record for unexpected tears during the most beautiful and perfect poem I’ve ever heard. It’s the poem that makes me say, “that’s it. It’s all there. There’s no use writing another poem.” 💜

I thought you should be the first to know but listening to your poem… I’m pretty sure I broke the record although math has never been my strong suit. I also just received notification that my signed copy of your new book will be arriving Friday so I’m pretty sure the record will fall yet again

Literal goosebumps and body tingles. Thank you for sharing your soul on stage and then to the whole damn universe. You’ve caught me when I had no one else, when I needed to hear someone’s voice be kind and honest. I showed a few of your father and your struggles with your past traumas; I showed to my mother and she couldn’t understand what I was trying to say, or maybe she just didn’t care. But I yelled through you and with you. Keep fighting; you’ve got so much more light to give the world. Voices are far more powerful than some people think. Voices change the world.
