I was treated to a super shunting display of railway stock at the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway the day before there SRPS 50th Anniversary Gala weekend in August 2011. The Locomotive crew on the day were Chris Lothian and Lee Sutherland using locomotive NCB 0-4-0 saddle tank no.6 built by Andrew Barclay of Kilmarnock as No. 2219 in 1946 and belongs to the Prestongrange Industrial Museum. It was overhauled at Bo'ness and is due to stay there until the track at Prestongrange is ready. Also on duty at Bo'ness doing the service train was NCB No.7 (WD 75254). Built by W. G. Bagnall Ltd in 1945 (Works No.2777) acquired from NCB Comrie Colliery Fife . Class 5MT 45231 "The Sherwood Forester" having just arrived earlier from Fort William was also stabled at Bo'ness with its support crew busy doing some repairs before working the following day at the 50th Anniversary Gala . I uploaded this video a couple of years back but this is the original full-length version and of better quality so I hope you enjoy watching it.
