I don’t like the can. I just don’t. I don’t like the way you take a bite of meaty, tomato-y sandwich and BAM, you get hit with a metallic taste on the back (some folks like that). I’m not a fan.
My son asked tonight if this was a “cheap” meal? I said Yes/No. The amount of servings after you cook it all up? Crazy affordable. Your biggest cost? All the spices (and a bottle of wine). Get over that, and this is a group pleaser of a meal. I hope you enjoy.
TIME TO PREPARE
10 minutes to prepare
30 minutes for cast-iron
5 minutes to cool
INGREDIENTS FOR HOMEMADE MANWICH
1. 2lbs Ground Beef
2. 2 cans of Tomato Sauce
3. 1 Green pepper, finely diced
4. 2-3 Cloves of Garlic, diced
5. Salt
6. Pepper
7. Paprika
8. Mustard
9. Celery Seed
10. Chili Powder
11. White Pepper
12. White Wine
HOW TO
1. Cook ground beef, on high
2. Drain fat
3. Add diced Green Pepper, cook till black spots show, reduce heat to simmer
4. Add cans of sauce, stir
5. Add Garlic, stir
6. Add all the spices, combine
7. Add Splash of wine, combine
8. Cover
9. Rest on low heat for 15-25 minutes
10. Enjoy
