To me Andrew was the one that was the backbone of the INXS Band. He and Michael Hutchence were awesome together, writing songs. A wonderful talent, hope he writes with others as well. Go with your gut, Andrew and do whatever inspires you! Love this interview too! Oh by the way, I still remember seeing the interview with you and Michael, where you referred to a "Chic Sex Pistol", and it makes me laugh every time.

You nailed it. I believe the same. He and michael (and sometimes Jon ) were the big deal on the band's composition. And he and michael were simply stunning crrating music and lyrics because michael was not only a writer but a great composer as well as andrew. Giants

I watched this a few years back, but I still come back to watch from time to time one of my favorite interviews of Andrew's . What a musical genesis a talented person he is, I am so glad to see Andrew still working and writing beautiful tunes for himself and others .. INXS was wonderful with Michael and his voice and words but Andrew and the rest of the band was the backbone, all 5 are brilliant musicians . And Michael and his voice and lyrics was the icing on the cake, with all 6 members creating beautiful magic together...

Hats off to Andrew/Hutch, as great songwriting team, Most of all, that they evolved with each record and experimented with their sound. I wish I had known this back when they started. I never knew they were doing others music that was not so 'funk' heavy. I to date am blown away by the Hutch/Farris variety of sound, and even vocals. This puts them in the stratosphere as legendary bands, This is what made the Beatles so great, that mixing of styles and sounds. They are/were brilliant.

How Andrew is a musical free agent working on small projects I'll never know. If I was in a band that had some traction I would BEG him to join. He can write and do so many things musically. At times with INXS you would almost forget he was there but none of the many things they achieved would have been possible without him.

Not sure why he is not writing more songs or finding a lyricist to co-create with...I have a feeling he has some more hits inside of him. Too bad Michael did not call Andrew for some sane support the night of his death.....I remember they had turned the corner with "The Stairs"..and were getting praise for it...But in my estimation the song that is haunting, relevant and has had the most chilling effect on me was "Johnson's Aeroplane." If you have not heard this it is impressive...Suicide Blonde was all Farriss...I cannot believe he is idly sitting back...He should be creating.
