On a more serious note, I appreciate that you pick up on the relative simplification and lack of nuance in Tate's content. Andrew Tate is pretty garbage with knowledge. Real Chads are men who served the nation and put their lives before all else. The names of these guys are real true Alpha male Chads: Tu Lam, Dale Comstock, Mike Glover, Cole Fackler, D.J. Shipley, and so much more. As a 1st Generation South East Asian U.S. Military Veteran American male Chad; I would never take his opinions as valid. He still got a lot to learn about the world's true geo-political nature as well as learning about cultural reforms in every country. I ain't Chinese but Andrew's take on the Chinese is highly inaccurate since there is more to the information that he stated. Glad I never followed him since he ain't that great. He's just a younger version of Dan Bilzerian who tries to buy his way into Alpha male status. No amount of money will ever buy you *Alpha Male Chad status* unless you done something beyond just making money. I'll follow the guys whose name I listed above over Andrew Tate.

7:52 Social scientist here... Western world has not always been individualistic, and it isn't just East Asia that's collectivistic. You could certainly argue that the development of IDEA of individualism can be traced back to western philosophical traditions, but even just about a century ago, the entire world was collectivist and had always been til that point (or better put, the idea of "collectivism" was nonexistent because it was the natural default state). This is because collectivism is simply a precondition for any social groups to do well. Why? it's actually very self-explanatory; if you don't have collectivism (i.e. group-oriented), you won't have a group/society. Individualism is a luxury for societies that can afford it. Europe just happened to get ahead in the past few centuries, and as a consequence they could afford individualism. In an alternative universe (where China wouldn't have handicapped itself with closed-door policy), Asia would've been in the better place to adopt the luxury first. It's much more about which society could financially afford it than about culture and beliefs.
@UbermanNullist
2 жыл бұрын
It is a mistake to treat the collectivism of the Chinese on the same level as others. Chinese people have a unique mindset. Sinocentrism is an idea with a long history. Chinatowns around the world are never integrated into the community. If Chinese is your mother tongue, you inevitably become infected with Sinocentrism.

If you are American, even if you are chinese who live there your perception is already somewhat heavily influenced by leftist ideology about anything, including race. Asian men tend to be dependable, family oriented, and work hard/smart enough to generate a high enough income to support a family on one income, so their wives can stay at home while pregnant. That is a major difference between them and (native born) men in Western society so that could also be another reason as to why we see fewer pregnant women from those cultures in public.

this video is awesome and i agree with most of it i'm ethnic russian in the asian side of the country with a noticable chinese minority and what you said about how opinions about nationalities form through people you interface with is really true. if i had to nitpick though, i don't think tate wants to come off as some sort of a chinese expert here, it's just that his constant tone, confidence and body language suggests he does. so i think in the clips talking about china/africa relations or collectivism he doesn't actually try to seem like he's sharing some unique knowledge.

It's easy to take Andrew's statement out of context because this guy loves subtext and satire. Which is very common among intelligent people. What he actually meant was: the Chinese are smart people. Their women are not like other women that get pregnant every now and then. He pointed out that it's very rare to see pregnant Chinese women because they are smart with their life decisions, contrary to other countries, especially the 3rd world, that seemed not to care about family planning. When watching Andrew it's very important to watch the whole thing and don't just take bits of what he says because you're really going to misunderstand the guy. And when he says "Chinese", he is referring to the "Chinese Mindset". The Chinese are known to be business-minded and extremely diligent people. He actually admires the Chinese hustle. He's just sarcastic and satiric at times. I understand why it's very easy to hate him. I'm Half Chinese and Half Filipino btw.

My opinion is Andrew has an extensive network of people who he talks to and learn from. Many are asian and these people have major influence in political and economical aspect of a country. His view may be very narrow but i think he understand that there is a broad spectrum and tries to generalize a lot of thing which is normal. You can't consider everyone perspective with offending someone, but it is good to think about what he saying and agree or disagree as needed.
