I quit drinking alcohol 15 years ago, still party, still have a good time and the next day i feel great. Thinking you need alcohol to have a good time is just an illusion and mostly because you lack self confidence. Get a taste for sparkling/soda water with lime, everyone thinks your drinking gin or vodca tonic. Work on your self confidence and soon you realise that getting drunk is a weak mans game.

Its nice to know that drinking is becoming an outdated social practice because chronic alcoholism is so damaging not only to the drinker but their family and friends too, if they have any left. I live in Ohio which is in the midwest portion of US and basically everyone I know drinks. So its no wonder I was always chasing the booze buzz around high school and college age. Plus its Ohio. In Tate Confidential videos, Andrew, his brother, and his cousin were really knocking down the gin and tonics. So its nice to see him switch the booze in for a healthier lifestyle. I started drinking at 16 and now that Im 31, I look back and realize I only liked drinking when I was with my friends. I was never a big drinker but drinking and fun always went together in my head thanks to alcohol adverts and Jersey Shore re-runs during high school age. Drinking doesnt make things fun. Socializing with the right people makes things fun. I play music at bars all the time and I have zero interest in getting a drink because I know the feelings of performing will always outweigh a beer or mixed drink. Plus I drive home pretty late from the venues so Id rather not have even a drop in me because I know I'll pass by tons of police on my way home.

Apart from when I was 18-20, I was a very light drinker. Odd beer here and there never an issue. Then I've quit alcohol entirely. I don't mind others that drink but there is a saying I agree with 'booze is for losers' which is largely true. Same people who work all week and live for the weekend to go out, splash all their money and get pissed. I've also seen people post a beer bottle on social media as though having a beer is some kind of achievement. For me it just went against what I wanted to achieve in the gym etc, and I'd sooner have a nice cold pop or something. Each to their own but for me alcohol has no benefits and is a waste of money. A lot of people have a lifestyle focus around drinking which isn't for me.

I've done both and enjoyed both. But "gym bros" are not fun people to be around for me. Vapid 😂
