I think rolling out new versions so fast will neither help consumers nor the developers. Most of the consumers are still on 10 or 11 since it's not possible to just change new phones every year (note, not all use flagships, so getting an upgrade is not fast and confirmed). As a result, developers might be running out of ideas when they have to roll out new versions every year. Better to retain it and roll out 1 perfect version in every 2 years.
@jurrell1986

Apple releases new iOS updates all the time and that doesn't bother the devs, as for customers not having the latest update, if you're going to buy a mid tier phone which is fine, you have to be okay with the software that comes on the phone because it might never get the latest Android update being that companies barely ever update their mid tier phones, I'm pretty sure if you have a mid tier Android 10 or 11 is perfectly okay for the life of the phone this isn't back in the day where each Android update improved the phone these updates are very minimal. This is coming from a guy whose been on Android 4.3 and I'm sitting at 12 with my ultra 22. So trust me it's no big deal if you're on Android 10 while everyone is on 12 or 13

I'm very interested in the native KVM that would make sense on tablets rather than mobile albeit, would be a nice touch for those who want to. We're reaching a point where ARM can run a full on desktop, might as well get the desktop actually working on smaller devices and tablets. I'm somewhat expecting them to remove the KVM feature or lock it down to only developers perhaps. However, i hope even without root, it is accessible.

The same new button layout of the player but with a white baground (or fitting color to the other buttons) instead of the artist cover would fit better in my opinion. I don't agree though to have an option to revert things back because thats just extra stuff on the OS making it more complicated and possibly slow. Customizability would be nice though. See this is why it's good to have conversations like this because android still is and will forever be evolving, however I'm going to have to STRONGLY disagree with some of what you're said because I'm sure even google knows that the issues you're talking about can be avoided, like how you said it might make the OS slower, yes its gonna make things more complicated bu that's literally thier job & not a good exuse at all that I would accept. They can literally give users an option with that too like when you set up your phone you can download a version of android that is stock or has the ability to download a version that allows a much higher amount of freedom & customizations & Incase people don't like it they can always have that part be uninstalled and have the stock version kept on the phone, android should even have thier website make it so that users can wirelessly customize their phones & choose what parts of new software that they want to have installed, there's so much more I could say about this but I'll leave ot at this for now. I am so much of a Technology Enthusist and I personally believe that I could single handley improve android even more that what it currently is now, you might think that this sounds so arrogant but remember that there's always some iphone users who think iOS is light-years ahead of android but really android developers aren't taking in as much feedback as they should or that they are being as innovative anymore, I think they are taking it safe for now & aren't trying to experiment as much currently. (I retyped this up b/c I don't think it went through the first time)
@pasi123567
2 жыл бұрын
@@Danilio. I think the OS should be simpler if possible though. Like keeping in old features is not really something that makes sense in the long run. Making them better is. I like the idea though of installing different OS Versions but I don't think thats great for Google of having to keep it all updated. Rather just to unlock more of the OS to be customizable. Then you have the ideal OS Google wants you to have by default and if you don't like something or miss it you can just download it from the Store and change that part of the OS. Windows is also just a OS and if something is missing just install a programm that does it. You can basically reskin anything in Windows as well and change stuff with the registry. Btw I also feel you with the part that you can improve stuff by yourself, I feel similar but only when it comes to the visual design of applications. Like I am still of the opinion that the design of the KZitem search bar doesn't fit the rest of the page because it has been used before the redesign already and just looks dated. I just want to go to KZitem and make them update it. Also I think most developers don't take enough feedback from the community. But Android is higher up than most other stuff out there I believe. I still remember this one feature of Firefox that they changed to "be more alligned with Chrome" but was actually a much more thought out feature. Probably one of the more discussed topic on their bugtracker as well and they just ignored all the people who said the other version was better because they just wanted it to be like it is in Chrome. Never understood such decisions but can't do much about it.

Well it looks like it is sadly, they have not fixed the horrendously ugly UI. I think they think it's great, they don't perceive it as something that needs fixing. So... if they don't fix it at some point in the future or at least give us a choice, I am never upgrading past Android 11. And I mean never, I will use it until apps drop support and then I will stop using a phone if I have to, that's how much I hate Android 12.

I love how clean pixels animations are, they look top notch just like apples Wish pixel 6 pro wasn’t such a let down😭

@Andrew Gibson it was because we all expected the quality of googles camera to be better then it was Battery life was trash And they seriously didn’t even include 4 years of major software updates when Samsung is??? It is a let down😂

@Andrew Gibson it’s not 6 hours liar😂 It’s 6 hours of “light use” I literally drained my 13 pro max in 7.5 hours from 100% to dead The Samsung would last for 5.25 hours and the pixel probably about 5 hours of semi medium use 5 hours of battery life??? Bro are you kidding me??😂 if you do anything intense on your pixel it’s dead, no thank you I’m done with the days of carrying a 10,000mah power bank with me at all times

Kind of liked it better back when the big number changes (like Android 4 to 5) were kept for the major overhauls and minor stuff were like 4.4.2 etc. They're just jumping so fast now lol

Imo Android 11 ui was so great. The Android 12/13 quick settings reduces the no of tiles which makes it harder for me. And the volume slider, brightness slider and in general the new Material You just looks ugly and boring.

Everything is too rounded. 2:36 split screen mode looks ridiculous cutting into the app with bottom icons.

@@John_C_J yea gate that split screen. Else, I am in love with the new ui and animations

@@John_C_J I kinda did that one as it gives a clear distinction on where an app in the split screen ends, also follows the new curve screen design language.

As a former Android user for more than a decade, a lot of these features seem straight out of iOS 15, more specifically iOS 15.4. Though a fair number of these are features I WISHED we had on iOS.

Use Google to ask how to pronounce terrimoossuu...😅🤣😂 Samsung does a lot of this already. It's like Samsung makes it, followed by the rest of Android, then 2 years later Apple "invents it"

Wow, there are so many changes here, even super subtle ones, that I've been dying for and are finally getting added. FINALLY, SCRUBBING THROUGH CONTENT ON THE LOCK SCREEN!! Can't believe it's taken so long, it was frustrating coming from iOS the first time, but better late than never I guess 😂
