I feel you, but given the circumstances at the time, it seemed inevitable. Developers were already developing apps for iOS and Android, plus Blackberry OS which was in the process of moving to touch as well. Then there was Samsung's Tizen that was looking to launch and Nokia's own Symbian 60. So within the Nokia space itself, developers would have to develop separate apps for two operating systems - and I'm guessing Nokia would rather it be their own OS and not Microsoft's. I guess the only play would be for Microsoft to launch their own hardware, but they had a bad precedent with the Zune player, so I don't think they were willing to give that a go 😂

The Asus Trio 201. I still have one I bought out of curiosity. It was a nice idea but Android on the tablet is stuck at 4.2.2, the drivers don’t work properly with Windows 10, Android randomly starts itself when in Windows mode, the tablet needs to have charge for the screen to power on but charging favours the laptop, and both the memory (4GB) and wifi were soldered even though there’s plenty of space for both to be socketed. Runs linux nicely though. A ChromeOS tablet would make more sense, if only for the guaranteed OS updates.
