Wrong, this actually brings people to the astrophotography world, I get the sense of “not making the picture by yourself” but for people who doesn’t want or can go too deep into astrophotography, this is an amazing product…also thumbs up for the team, as you can stack the pictures by yourself on the computer which gives an opportunity to also start learning the post production❤

@@alejandroromo6577 that's your opinion, doesn't make it wrong. However, this product, in my opinion takes a lot of the learning away from astrophotography. A hobby should be something that you enjoy and learn from, this product gives the user an almost disconnected experience. Its an amazing piece of kit, the creators have done a fantastic job, but it's just going to become little more than a party piece for the user.

For people saying this takes the fun out of learning about astrophotography, you're not wrong but for me this was just what I needed to get into astrophotagraphy. I saved up tons of money as a teen and bought a nice telescope and got horrible results I stopped astrophotography for a while until I saw these new telescopes. I got a wonderful image of the Orion Nebula, the feeling of seeing the Orion Nebula as it was in a live feed was pretty crazy. For me at least, it got me back into astrophotography it didn't take the fun away at all.

@@rickjones5399 My point is that his C14, while a very nice scope, is not the right tool for the job. Its focal length is way too high for looking at a super wide target like Andromeda. It's much better suited for small bright targets, basically planetary and lunar details. There's no reason that this overpriced little auto-telescope can't get good photos of Andromeda. People image Andromeda all the time with cheap DSLRs and kit camera lenses, that cost 1/20 of a C14.

If you want to do visual astronomy (through an eyepiece, not for taking images), then get a manual 8'' dobsonian. Apertura brand 8'' dob is one of the best ~$800 USD. If you want to take images and do astrophotography of deep space (not planets, but stars, galaxies, nebulae, etc.), then you'll want a guided equatorial mount, DSLR camera, and quality telephoto lens. You're looking at minimum $5000 USD for a decent astrophotography setup. If you want a fully automated system, just get the scope featured in this video.
