I don’t get why people throw temper tantrums when they fall off. Climbing is supposed to be fun, and if you are feeling that emotional from falling off you should re-evaluate why you climb. But anyway huge congrats and it was sick to watch you send!
@ErikFollette

Maybe you'll get it when you're projecting V14... Everybody is different
@JaredGGG
2 жыл бұрын
Because some people dont climb to have fun the whole time. Its the same reason someone would run super long distances or push maxes while weight lifting, its to pursue excellence and push your physical limits. Its totally fine to only climb for fun, but its also totally rad to put all of your mind and body into something you are so passionate about. Anybody that has had any sort of long term project can confirm that these emotions are likely to happen during a long term project, they can drive you insane. But the most frustrating climbs always come with the most satisfaction when you finish them.

@jlehm
2 жыл бұрын
@@alexmarin9991 nah, you hit the nail on the head. He’s likely not like that all the time and this one just brought out the worst in him. To the guy saying you’d understand if you climbed that hard…you’re a douche. Difficulty is relative. Someone could project a V1 just as hard as Sam projected a V14. The value of the grade to the person is relative to their ability.
@jordanlagana3023
2 жыл бұрын
@@jlehm although I think you're both slightly in the right, this feels like needless devil's advocacy. I doubt anybody has projected V1 for 20 days, and if they did, they were likely dealing with a psychological boundary like fear rather than a physical boundary like executing difficult movements. Fear probably wouldn't elicit anger like failure to execute movements does for Sam.
