My father passed away this year. This was the song that I showed him to get him obsessed with Prine near the end of his life. When you sing it I can almost here him snoring on the couch. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

Yep, his music takes me back to a better time not too long ago. My friends all laying on the pier under the warm Alabama sun wearing our cutoff jeans and tank tops listening to the Katydids sing. Talking about better days to come, none of us knowing we were in our best days in that very moment! Great music!

Saw Prine many years ago in the 70’s in philadelphia. Then again in 2010 at bonnaroo when the whole audience sang to all of his songs. There were multiple generations there and everyone knew his songs. Was so lucky to have been there and will never forget the chills I got from hearing him sing. What a wonderful tribute to John Prine… thank you Jesse
