The office has helped me in many situations, as others have said. I remember a few months back I was struggling with personal stuff and I started having a panic attack, my first reaction was to turn on the office and it was somewhere in season 6 where I left it a few days prior. I just slowly sobbed while watching 4 episodes in a row and let myself sink in my chair and just exist with the characters. By the end I was smiling and calm. Makes me tear up just thinking about it

I still love hearing you folks talk. I heard this episode before, but I enjoy hearing it again. I remember how the Dwight character reminded me of some (A-holes) I worked with, in my youth. I never worked in an office,....well I did for one summer, when I was 19. But I worked in retail, for more than 25 years. With a crew of 5 people, at the same store. There was always a Dwight character. Employees came and went,.....however there was a core group of "lifers",....we stayed with the company for the entire 25-plus years. Towards the end of my employment, I would come back, to fill in, for people who took their vacations. The best part of the job, was that our boss was almost never around. He called in, in the morning to go over our day's goals. He sometimes came in, after we were closed for the evening, to do the bookkeeping. After 25 years, we knew how to run his shop, we knew his rules and how he wanted things done. Most of our customers, thought "we" owned the store.

This episode is a perfect rollercoaster and a "you must watch" I love how sensitive person its Angela, I applaude both for talking about something that people tend to avoid, something that hits strong and something that definetely has to make us Better persons. I love the idea of grief and gratittude, I am very thankful to you Rainn because of your chapter about Death, and it happens that I used to do talks about soulboom on my Instagram channel and I was afraid of doing that talk, about that chapter of the book and for my surprise it resulted being my more significative and beautiful talk ( as I felt it) so Rainn and Soulboom its a big bless for my heart❤ Also I wanna add that the movie Hesher ( with Rainn) has a big powerful lesson about this [PLEASE WATCH IT] And also that I love as you Rainn remember and appreciate what your father silently did in his life, like that giving mode of bring joy to others, and I wanna tell you that even if you dont "feel" like you are doing that, the way that you are being open to a whole world for whoever that notices your will and good intentions its lovely 🙏 I also admire what a beautiful friendship is this🎉 Thank you for exist! you both makes me remember that God made us extremely gifted with his grace, even if we get losted so many times in focusing in our flaws and failures!

But then I watched this and saw your helpline and you talk about "self harm" and have to say I truly feel better. Not 100% but better. I have been out of prison now for a year (my first time) and now that I'm a felon I can't get hired anywhere. Its driving me crazy and I don't know what to do. Thank you so much for these pods. And it's so weird cause you know we don't even know each other but it's almost like you can feel the level of intimacy and brotherhood from here. (Far from los Angeles lol). So beautiful when you both shared about your dads. From 2022 and 2023 I dealt with some griefs in my life. I lost a friend, an old love, my grandma and my dog. They now moved to a place inside of me now, where I know it's safe and beautiful. So I guess we don't lose people, they just morph into something we can't see and they live inside of us, that's my view of this subject. ❤️ beautiful conversation.

I lost my father in 2010 and my mother in 2018 and i was a young adult, it was really hard so i almost broke when Angela mentionned the voice, she misses her dad's voice. I called many times my dads phone, weirdly waiting for him to answer knowing it wont happen, one day i called and the number was disconnected, this broke me for a while. Today my kids keep me grounded and happy, same as Angela and her daughter.
