There are many people doing reactions to this song in the last couple days (so many), and I knew there would be. But as a big fan that has been following these reaction for a long time, there are a certain few reactors that I have been waiting for... Wolf, you are one of those ;) I appreciate you giving it a little time after the drop to let it settle in on her channel. All that out of the way... How 'bout this song!!! She never disappoints! I just can't imagine anyone not liking this song. Thanks for taking a deep look at the lyrics. Her lyric ability is really growing to match her vocal ability. She writes songs that are deep and make you think...and in the end, you always come away with a positive message. Every new song she releases makes me so happy to see her developing into just the artist I always hoped she would be. True to her style, deep lyrics, positive messages. What more could we hope for

Angelina lives up to her name, as she is indeed angelic when she sings. She’s fifteen and has the unusual gift of communicating her feelings in her music. She’s growing in every way. I think she is singing about herself. She has so much to live up to not only for herself, but for all of the people who love her, and she sometimes is overwhelmed with the awesome responsibility. Her lyrics express what I’m trying to say way better than I can. Honestly, I get chills every time I hear her sing. I hope I live long enough to watch her continue on to her 7th heaven journey. I’m so grateful for her. She is a blessing.

7th heaven is the ultimate level of bliss and happiness, it's where God resides. I can only assume that Angelina is aware that she is here on earth, with a heavenly mission, as such she realizes the heaviness of such a life's intent. At 15 to be so in tune, spiritually speaking, is truly beyond our ability to comprehend...wow!

Many who sing well, but we can ask them if they can switch credibly between jazz, edm, pop, country, and classical music in no time. I think the 7th Heaven reference is to Angie's goal which I believe she now knows is inevitable. She has also referenced the knowledge of the weight of the responsibility that comes with such power. She now knows that her GIFT is not without consequence. Her every action is scrutinized. With all the love and support we give her it is really only her family that keeps her from feeling alone. Being so gifted and special has a price and I most certainly hope to help her deal with it.

Even I want to get up and dance, and I can't dance at all. I hope this song gets promoted heavily, because it, and most other songs Angelina does, reaches all ages, but especially this song. She gives us some Jazz/Soul and a bit of Pop, and it's pure Angelina. I hope I can see her in concert before I die, and I hope that when Republic releases her first album, they offer it on vinyl. For Angelina (and I think it likely that these lyrics are quite personal to her) her 7th heaven is singing, and singing for the whole world. Getting to that blissful happy place (where our dreams reside) isn't easy and she sees the related obstacles (and they fall heavy on her shoulders). That weight, that tension to not compromise, to not take the easy path of fluffy pop songs and skimpy clothes in order gain popularity is the harder path she is willing to walk. She is hopeful, not bitter, not sad. She is taking the high road. She'll get there. What an awesome message and piece of artistry (lyrically and musically) delivered as only she can!

I think she is recognizing that her life is a lot of people's version of "7th Heaven"; i.e. life could not be better; she has nothing to complain about. But, there is a weight (falls heavy) to that (i.e. pressure to meet expectations, or impatience that things are not happening as fast as she would like), and she has to keep reminding herself to not let that distract her from staying focused on the things that REALLY matter in her life.. to like the person she sees in the mirror and enjoy life.
@nettnett63

I believe that the 7th heaven is the desire for perfect happiness. This expectation can be heavy on the shoulders. Some are bitter that others are apparently in 7th heaven, but not themselves. To achieve perfect happiness - you must love yourself first. Then the 7th heaven is easier to achieve. Let go of all the expectations of the world - your 7th heaven may already be present.

Hi Ollie! Thanks for encouraging people to go watch the video in Angelina's channel and subscribing to it 😊 What a song, right? It came as a total surprise for me, a wonderful surprise. This beat, this rhythm is incredible. So jazzy, so funky and yet with very deep lyrics as Angelina always writes. All her songs have a profound meaning. Nothing you would expect from a 15 year old these days. I share your feeling of being overwhelmed having seen her growing up into the beautiful young lady she is and the great musician she's become! 7th heaven... oh, my. In some religions it means the ultimate state of bliss. Translated to a musical career it could be attaining fame or notoriety which can be a weight on the person's "shoulders". One thing not many people realize is that she wrote this song last year, not long after AGTC. So the bitterness she's talking about could be her own. And that when she realized that she had to let go, to live in the moment, everything was better. Her mind was clear of all those negative feelings. Life goes on and it is up to each of us to decide how to live it: with bitterness or with hope ;)

Hi Wolf Rock I'm really happy to see your fantastic reaction and analysis with this fantastic song Angelina's. I love this extraordinary melting between her voice, always more mature, warm and powerful, the really deep and bluesy lyrics and the old jazz style atmosphere. She has acquired a style which, by mixing all her sources of inspiration, is increasingly unique and fascinating, I absolutely love it. Angelina is absolutely a blues soul, she sings melancholy, pain, loneliness, love, hope, in an absolutely special and unique way. Take a pinch of Amy, Adele, Billie, Etta, Aretha, Whitney plus a few splashes of some great male singers, mix it all up, distill it and here's an Angelina's pure blend. She have style that, despite the many sources of inspiration, is increasingly unique and fascinating. Angelina is not only a wonderful singer, but also an attentive and profound songwriter and always writes beautiful lyrics, really has an unreal artistic maturity for her age. The more I listen this song the more I love it, is simply amazing. ❤️ ❤️ The only problem is that the song ends 😂

you probably won't be able to follow that song on your guitar on the same pitch, the song's in a very difficult key, lol :-) I very much enjoyed your reaction and your take on the lyrics. Not many analyze the lyrics as thorough as you do, but I agree that the lyrics are just as important as the music, because ideally they correlate with each other. E. g. it surely is no coincidence that she slid up with her voice when she sang "hope", or I take it that the heavy bass is a symbolism for something that lies "heavy on someone's shoulders". At the same time the song's upbeat and radiates confidence and positive vibes, which, when thinking of 7th heaven and hope, is the main point of the song. The mastery lies within those small details in the way she composed the song and the way she articulates every word. When she sings "slowly fading" the duration of the notes are longer for instance. In the end, when she sings about the "bitterness" and that we "can't do anything about it" she also didn't do much musically wise, the instruments are thinned out and she cuts the words with glottal stops as to demonstrate that she doesn't put much emphasis (weight, significance) on these words. During the verse about the lack of strength, power and unfulfilled miracles the contrabass drops out for a moment, which is a way to express the line "there's nothing in you", however only after when it says "you have to let go" the bass kicks in again and the music "picks up the pace" (subjectively). I take it that "7th heaven" stands for bliss and is right in front of us. That's probably why she sang the word "7th heaven" literally right after the previous line "right in front of your eyes", there's no pause/gap between those words; if I heard correctly she even did "back phrasing" there as she sang the word a tad ahead of the beat. In my opinion the meaning of "7th heaven" lies in your perception of life, life can be bliss or sorrow, it depends on how you look at it, just like the way you look at yourself in the mirror. "7th Heaven" is similar to the "sky" in my opinion. Sometimes the sky shines, sometimes it rains, there's even the idiom "the sky is falling" (I'm also reminded of the song "Skyfall" by Adele). The sky is like fate, you can't change it, fate can be heavy on your shoulders. You can't change the look of yourself, you can't create a miracle, but what you can change is your perspective! Your hope might defy fate. You can accept and love yourself for who you are and your life might turn to the better. "Live should be lived with hope" after all. The idea of "7th heaven" and "sorrow" standing side by side, just like two sides of a coin, you just gotta flip it (change your perspective), is reflected in the middle of the song, when she sings "sadness" and "7th heaven" with two voices simultaneously! The lyrics and the music are both structured symmetrically. This is pure art. Props to Angelina.

Hi Olly, so happy to see your reaction to Angelina's amazingly wonderful new release. Thank you for ALWAYS being so thoughtful, kind, and insightful when reacting to our Angelina. My 2 cents, is that Angelina continues to take us along with her on her lifes journey. I think of her song What is Life, where I believe she was in 7th Heaven (pure bliss), sitting at the piano, creating paintings like her grandma, feeding birds with her little sister, life was beautiful. She was singing about her life at the time. Then fast forward, it would be interesting to know when she wrote this, pre AGT or post AGT. Quite a bit has happened in her life since then. The passing of her grandfather. AGT, signing with a major record label, everything put on hold (pandemic), wow that's a lot! 7th Heaven on my shoulder falls heavy. That's my 2 cents Olly, looking forward to what your take is. The one thing for certain is that her music continues to bring joy to the hearts of many. What Is Life, the good and the bad. 7th Heaven, life should be lived with hope. Continue to stay classic, stay well and stay safe. 😊

There is no money in it for the music moguls. She just might turn that around. I like tat part too. Where she sings up over an incoming line. I also like how she lifts the notes on hope. It is a place of highest closeness to God. It is a difficult space to get to. But all our efforts should be towards that. This is a seemingly simple song until you listen to it. People are going to be talking about this song awhile. Great reaction Wolf. Have you heard the latest from Daneliya? She did a cover of 'Take Me To Church' that is pretty tight. I'm on Spotify, KZitem Music, and Apple Music and like/follow Angelina on all of them. 0 notifications of a new song. Disappointed to say the least that I had to wait a few days to find out about this song. Found out about Dimash's new song only by direct search too. Just goes to show, you have to keep an eye on their channels directly regardless of the platform. As for the song, it's definitely one to groove to. Quite fun sounding for such serious lyrics, but then again, having fun is one of the best ways of releasing the stresses of life, so it works quite well together.

Nice to see you back with Angelina Wolf. Enjoy your honest reactions. What a fantastic song. You were mentioning the lyrics so here is a quote from Angelina regarding the release of her song 7th Heaven you may find interesting. This appeared today in an article from "With Guitars" which is a music magazine.: Angelina's comment on release of 7th Heaven: Angelina commented, “Life has ups and downs, and you always have to be ready for whatever is coming up. The song is a reminder to look at everything in a positive light and not get down on yourself. Most importantly-no matter what you’re doing-don’t give up. It’s also meant to make you dance,” she smiles.Stay tuned for the premiere of the “7th Heaven” music video soon!

Great reaction. I don't think anyone saw this coming, but wow.... You ask about 7th Heaven - I think back to the interview on Skavlan when she was 12 years old, two things: 1. When you sing you don't sound like a 12yr old, do you feel like a 12 yr old? - Only when I look at my passport. - In this song she wants to look in the mirror and feel able to love the 15 yr old looking back at her. 2.When I see you on stage, who do you feel you become? - When I sing I go to another world, it's endless, full of happiness. - In this song this could be the endless bliss of 7th Heaven...

Now we know for a certainty that Angelina is not going to abandon her jazz roots! She’s staying true to her early influences like Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Amy Winehouse. There's no mistaking the artist singing this song. Angie has forged a unique style and sound over many years, regardless of the genre, regardless of the song. It's her! I can't wait to see a live performance of this, and also so many of her greatest to come. Angie's my daily dosage since I found this treasure in 2015. As I said in a previous comment, the Jazz Queen is back! IMO, this is the third time Angie has addressed the burdens of her quest to “sing for the world” in her songs. In “Shield” it was, “forgive me for all that I am.” In “Million Miles” it was, “I’ll never regret what I do.” And now, it’s the whole song with lyrics like, “Don’t give up cause it’s right in front of your eyes,” and “Seventh heaven on my shoulders falls heavy. Sometimes I feel all my dreams are slowly fading” Also, “Sometimes I wanna be powerful, gotta find the strength within me. Sometimes you look for miracle but there’s nothing in you.” Yes, this IMO, is about Angie, but also a strong message to others with the lyric, “LIfe should be lived with hope.” So, IMO this is yet another example that Angie’s songwriting has true meaning to her, and is a message to us all.

This girl has life wisdom way way beyond her years . Such a awesome Artist. Mind blowing . You asked about 7th heaven. Well Angelina is from 5 cultures & she's travelled the world from a very young age. But since she is at the moment living in America I think she be meaning the place where you are happier than you ever thought you could be your in 7th heaven. 7th heaven is also the dwelling place of God & his most exiled angels We're he sits on his throne surrounded by Angels singing his praises 24 7

I think she's singing about the creative process, and the burdens that go along with measuring up to all the accolades bestowed upon her, creating another little masterpiece while doing so. The girl is a musical genius.

Simon Crowel referred to this type of jazz as 'Swing', and goes back to yesteryear. The first time he applied this label to such a song was by Aleksander Mileusnic in 2018, and it was his arrangement of a song called 'Seven Nation Army'. He was nowhere near having the vocal ability of Angelina but it should be noted that he received a standing ovation from Simon, the other judges, and the audience. Tells me that there is and has been a hunger for this forgotten type of 'vibe' and Aleksander's rendition, though different in lyrical content, the other aspects of it was very similar to Angelina's song. If she had performed this on the show, forget about garnering a standing ovation, she would have brought the roof down on the place.

Wolf Rock thanks for your very nice reaction with reading the lyrics to this inspiring song by Angelina. The Barefoot Angel opened the gate to the 7th Heaven and took us with her inside to a wonderful and a worry free world. Angelina, the following poem by Rumi the great Persian poet, mystic, and Sufi was written about you centuries ago: “O heart, I cannot explain you, you are what you are. But I know this much that now you are tearing apart the curtain of the heavens like the sun.”

Angelina👣 If You think about it, She has from the very start with "Gloomy Sunday" throughout all her 130+ Covers of all different styles and Genres from over 85 different Vocal Masters from past century.. What She has done is; She has brought back this beautiful Tones from the past that otherwise would have faded away and got lost in time, Angelina has brought back those Tones along with the style and atmosphere of the different Eras and "dusted them of" rejuvenated them made them Current and brought them back into the Future 😊💫 Many try to compare Angelina👣 To this artist or that but it's more like all those Artists are wrapped up in One >Angelina< 🤗 From the very first tone that came from her ab.7 Years ago I knew instantly she was special, Unique and the very first thought that came through my brain ( after it had thawed up from the brain freeze I got after the initial shock) was "She is an Angel of Future Music" 🎶👼🏻👣👸🏻A🌟 Thanks again for Your as Always wonderful reaction and review to Our singing Angel ~ OneLove 🕊

Your opening comments are why you're a favorite subscriber channel. I'm sorry that KZitem elects not to numerically link our views of your reaction and her videos as numeric counts for her videos. That's what happens - I'm watching her video each time I watch reactors' views. With your 2nd play-thru's, I was thinking not of contemporary singers but turning the tables: "Which '30s, 40's, 50's and '60s singers could I hear doing this?" Roger Miller... Nat King Cole... Ray Charles. Those are the 'modern' ones... but Ginger Rogers, Lauren Bacall, Etta James absolutely, yes, too.

Angelina combines the classic with the modern. Angelina takes the different styles of music (jazz, blouse, R&B etc.) and makes her own, unmistakable ANGELINA STYLE. The fact that 7th Heaven clearly bears Angelina's signature is indisputable and shows again that the producers of Stargate give Angelina every freedom to make music according to Angelina's ideas. Angelina wrote this song with two Norwegian co-writers Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen, the founders of Stargate, the hit makers and GRAMMY® AWARD winners (4 awards and around 14 nominations). ✌️😷💯 *AJ* 💯👣
