Her Grandmother Mery noticed that Angelina loved Witney Huston when she was singing at 15 months old. Her family allowed Angelina to sing what she wanted to sing. She used an iPad to find the songs she wanted to sing. That’s how Angelina found Billy Holiday (Gloomy Sunday). In an interview Angelina said she wouldn’t be signing like she is today if it wasn’t for Billy Holiday. Great reaction Gentlemen.🤗🎼👍🏼

Thank you for featuring Angelina a second time, I hope you will do many more reactions to her, as she is well worth every nanosecond you spend on her. I have watched and listened to her in awe since she released her first video on KZitem, and what has been evident to me from the start is that she sings with total conviction, despite the fact that she is far too young to have experienced the events suggested in the lyrics of the song she has chosen to sing. But it is not only that, for strange as it may seem is the even more remarkable fact that she can convey the appropriate emotions within those lyrics to her listener. Angelina was 9 years and 2 months old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, who wrote and performed the song in 1956 (50 years before Angelina was born). She based her arrangement on his original performance, although she discarded all the theatrics and allowed her voice and body language to tell the story. The song has been covered by many singers over the years, but to my knowledge, Angelina is the only one who has sung in the same style as the original. There are many things I found particularly worthy of note in this video. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. Another Angelina "Angel" has pointed out something else which I had missed, and it is added at (l) below, (a) Angelina finishing writing last minute changes she wanted and handing them to the Music Director, who smiled. (b) A brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, Angelina's maternal grandmother, a well known and respected Iranian Artist and poet who was also a child prodigy. She was the person who recognised Angelina's talent at an early age and exposed her to all the old time jazz singers. (c) The candle with an image of Screamin' Jay Hawkins on it. (d) The smile on the face of the Bass player. (e) How she rose on to her toes on the last occasion she sang "...because you're mine" (f) The fact she occasionally refers to her written notes on the music stand. Possibly to remind herself of the last minute changes she wanted. (g) Her unwavering passion throughout the performance. Evidenced by her facial expressions and the way she uses her hands and body to emphasise the direction of the song. (h) The way she takes a breath just before she starts the last phrase (I don't care.....) and that breath lasts the whole of that sustained note. A child of that age should not have the ability to hold a note for that length of time. (i) At the end, when she sings I Doooont Caaaaare, she employs TWO separate and distinct vibratos to the word care, a wide one to start the word and a tighter one to close the word (j) The instant transformation from "performance" mode to that of a pensive child, possibly wondering whether she could have done better. I comment on the "pensive" child because Angelina has an incredible work ethic and seeks to perform every song in a way she considers will bring out all the emotions within the lyrics and melody. (k) Perhaps the most remarkable is that despite her tender years, she sings with such total conviction that her authenticity is never in doubt. It is easy to believe that she has experienced the events described in the lyrics. It is not only her voice that is mesmerising, it is also her facial expressions, and the way she uses her hands and body. Her stage presence is electrifying. (l) The performance absolutely is powerful and raw but to me, I am amazed that this is balanced by the profound beauty of the ending phrase; the last twelve words of the song. AND… they are essentially sung a cappella! Angelina has been referred to as the "Queen of Jazz", "The Barefoot Princess", "The girl with a thousand voices". All of them are true, but I prefer the nickname I gave her after listening to about six of her performances. For me, she is "The Chameleon of Song", for as a chameleon is able to change its colour to match its surroundings, so Angelina is able to change the "colour" of her voice to accurately match the needs of the song to reveal the emotions within the lyrics and melody. Even more remarkable is her innate ability to communicate those same emotions to her listeners.

Nice reaction guys! You are sort of correct. No one in her family is musically inclined. However, it was her Grandma Mery that exposed Angelina to jazz music at a very young age and she fell in love with it. She was so interested in the sound of jazz that she would go to KZitem to pull up jazz music and artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few. She also would go to a local music shop to listen to old jazz records. By the way, her grandmother, Mery Zamani, is a famous and well known Iranian painter/poet.

Not only did Angelina Jordan pull off a killer vocal, with her tone and the different techniques and nuances, but,at 9 years old,she did the arrangement, putting a jazz spin on iconic blues song by Screaming Jay Hawkins and with her vocals, made it more dynamic than the original. By the way, that ban is a professional studio band and a 9 year old girl is telling them what she wants. This girl is simply amazing

Her grandmother would play jazz records for her before she could even walk but by the time she was three she would be searching through KZitem to discover and study all the jazz greats from the past 100 years. Angelina's drive is 100% self motivated. If anything, her mother has tried to put the brakes on her early career insisting that she focus on school and try to have as normal as possible childhood. While no one in her family plays music they are a very loving and supportive force in her life. We are fortunate that Angelina has posted over 200 videos of her musical development over the past ten years to witness her journey on the way of her search for her voice. As great as she is today at age 17, I can't even fathom the heights she'll reach over the next ten years. I think you guys are going to really enjoy your fall into this rabbit hole.

Angelina was 9 years old in this performance - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with the same band at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. There are English subtitles as the spoken language is Norwegian: kzitem.info/news/bejne/tHehwHh3kXxyZ3o

Hello, Tazzz N Philly. I saw your Bohemian Rhapsody reaction. Glad to catch this one. "Screaming" Jay Hawkins 1956 original is the inspiration for Angelina's arrangement here. She is 9 years old in this video. This is AFTER winning Norway's Got Talent at age 8, after auditioning at age 7 with Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday." Her rasp, growls, "scream/whistle," yes, she was directing the band, actually. At a young age, when asked about this song, she said, "It is a desperate love." Her grandparents played the old time jazz. She is very close to those grandparents. Well, she did come out of the womb singing. At 18 months she took a karaoke mike almost bigger than her, into her hand and sang a complete phrase from the chorus of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You." and she's right on. So, be blown away. Hit the golden glories before diving into the ore obscure private videos is my advice. You do want to check out the audition for Norway's Got Talent at age 7. Get the one with English subtitles, so you can get some context easily,, and know what the judges say about her afterward. Here. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). "Screamin" Jay Hawkins original "I Put A Spell on You" kzitem.info/news/bejne/0KiE1nxsoqugnn4 You have a long road ahead with Angelina (she has 160+ covers and originals awaiting you)! I absolutely LOVE seeing first time reactions to this performance... BTW, Angelina was singing @ 1 1/2 yrs old... Her Grandma listened to Jazz classics... Fitzgerald, Holiday, Simone, Gershwin and the list goes on... Speaks 4(?) languages, plays piano, guitar, and a couple others... She gifts us delightful, jaw dropping interpretations of ALL genres, and a voice w/accompanying accoutrements; like vocal ornaments, masterful lyrical nuance's, and a passion for what she does..the band members call her The Boss...she dives into every piece of music with an unrivaled confidence because her voice is at her command, and her "little lungs" are educated.. AJ gets their cooperation always .. your game show format is different... But recognizing a Prodigy and calling it what it is will come... Enjoy the journey... Welcome to the Realm that ONLY Angelina reigns... Peace!!

Indeed, she grew up listening to jazz, but it's impossible to learn that technique at such an early age, besides talent, it takes years of practice to achieve it, and at 9 years old it's not possible to be so perfect if you don't have it inside, so the conclusion it's obvious, her talent is supernatural. Listening to her sing 'What a difference a day makes' at the age of 8 clears up any doubt about it.

Well yes & no. There are no musicians in her family and no vocal lessons or training. There is video of her singing at eighteen months of age. She is seen scrolling through KZitem at two going on three looking for Jazz and Blues artists to listen to. Note that this was for hours each day. Obsessive, compulsive would be an apt description at this time. Tell’s her Mother she wants to sing on that Simon show at three. (which she does at thirteen) Enters school at four. Enrolls in after school program, taking music, piano, violin and flute. At five she is found studying music theory, learning to deconstruct and rearranging songs to her liking. At five tells her Mother she wants to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. (which she does at eight) At six she enters sound booth for the first time and records four songs. Rolling In The Deep , Hurt, Sky Fall and most notably I Who Have Nothing. At six she is living in the the Middle East, where her legend begins. By six she is speaking three languages fluently and reading Norwegian and English. I do not know if she reads Persian. She had been keeping a diary since five and records a meeting with an orphaned homeless girl in her diary. She writes a book probably at eight which is published at nine, becoming the youngest published author in Norwegian history. You should purchase from her website. Titled “Between Two Harts “. All proceeds go to children charities. Some say it is a children book. If you read you will know that, no child wrote this book. The concepts and words could not have been written by a child that had just turned six. Have fun In the rabbit hole. You will never regret. Basically Angelina has come to bring peace and happiness to the world. (her words).

Where do I begin? :):):) No musicians in the family but grandma Mery loves jazz and Angelina took a liking to jazz when she was very young (we're talking about 1 1/2 years old)! What!? Yes, there is a clip of her on you tube singing some lines from a Whitney Houston song in bed with a microphone at 1 1/2 years old. Btw, grandma was also a child prodigy and is a renown painter and poet to this day. They are inseparable. The love in Angelina's family is at a zenith level. Angelina was taught the meaning of love and, wow, she didn't miss any classes if you know what I mean! Sara (her wonderful and beautiful mom) enrolled her into a special music school when she was very young because the family knew she was ' very special' with an ear for music. One day the teachers contacted Angelina's mom and said they wanted to talk to her. They told her the purpose of their classes was to introduce the students to the world of music in general and to teach them how to sing. They told mom it was okay for them to continue to teach Angelina the 'mechanics' of music but it would be silly to teach her how to sing. They actually told mom Angelina could qualify as an instructor herself at her early age. She wanted to go on Norway's Got Talent at 5 years old but she was told she would have to wait till she was 7 because of age restrictions. So, she patiently waited for her chance. Btw, she wanted to impress Simon since she was 3 years old and someday she hoped to get that chance ('Bohemian Rhapsody'). Between the years 5 and 7 she continued to cultivate her voice (since she was a baby there has never been a day in her life when she hasn't been singing something). There is a video of her singing in a studio for the first time at 6 years old (singing a Tom Jones song). At 6 years old something extraordinary happened in her life which has had a dramatic affect on her soul. I'll explain but let me pause for a second and tell you the genetics that make her up. She is part Norwegian, Swedish, Iranian and Japanese. (Has there ever been anyone in the world with those characteristics?) And, does that give you a hint that she was meant to sing to all the people of the world? Anyway, she was with grandma somewhere in the Middle East (probably to see grandma's relatives) and while walking somewhere they spotted a little girl sitting on the sidewalk. Her legs were stretched out and her feet were scarred and bloody. She obviously had no shoes. Angelina asked grandma if she could talk to the little girl. She was given permission. Angelina introduced herself (the other girl was about 7 years old according to Angelina) and told her that her feet were damaged because she wasn't wearing any shoes. The girl told Angelina she didn't own any shoes. Angelina said to the little girl she should tell her parents to buy her shoes. The answer was she didn't have any parents, they were dead. The girl was working on the sidewalk and she had a scale next to her so that people could step on it and weigh themselves and drop a few coins for the girl. She was supporting not only herself but a couple of siblings as well. Angelina would go on and off the scale several times so that grandma would drop some money to her each time. The girl commented she thought Angelina's shoes were very nice (they were her favorite little boots (remember, all of this going on is between a 6 and a 7 year old). Angelina took them off and gave them to the little girl. The little girl refused but Angelina insisted. They had a little chat. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to do with her life. The girl replied (with a shrug) she would have wanted to be a doctor. Angelina told her, "Don't give up! Have hope! Keep your dream alive and you can make it happen!" The little girl thanked Angelina so much and asked Angelina what she wanted to do with her life. Angelina told her, "I like to sing and I want to be a superstar!" The girl said she had nothing to give to Angelina but that she would pray for her. That was so sweet. Well, they said good-bye to each other. On the way home to Norway Angelina (who was in deep thought) told her grandma from that moment on every time she will sing in front of people she will sing barefoot because she never wants to forget that little girl. And, the fact there are children in the world who don't even own a pair of shoes. She has never worn shoes singing in public ever since. Once, when she was 9 going on 10 (not sure but close) she did an interview on a Norway TV Show and the topic of conversation was about the incident which lead to Angelina singing barefoot. Well, there's a lot more to it. Angelina had maintained a diary (all this incredible stuff never ends!) and she wrote a book about her and the little girl. Grandma did all the illustrations in the book (it's still available to this day). On record, she is youngest published author in the history of Norway. There was a moment in the interview when Angelina was handed her diary (an old fashioned school type booklet) and she read directly from it. You will not believe what and how she said the words she wrote. The woman doing the interview asked Angelina if she ever thinks of the little girl. Angelina's reply, "I think of her everyday." By the way, at the same interview, Angelina entertained the audience by singing 'Unchained Melody' (by the Righteous Bros). I'll end it here, I hope you stayed with me. Why don't you jump right into Norway's Got Talent (she went on it at 7 and turned 8 during the taping of the Show). Thanks, guys, for a wonderful reaction to Angelina. After 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'I Put A Spell On You' you are now ready to dive into deep water. What do I mean? I'll let your heart explain to you what will happen to you.

Re vocal training: I don't think she has had traditional vocal training though she definitely had vocal coaches, at least to guide her progress and protect her vocal chords... but I read that he voice was so unusual they were asked not to do anything that would affect that unique quality... She was certainly exposed to music from a very (very) early age, but from early interviews so much of it came from her: there is one I listened to recently where Angelina, at the age of 7, looks back to when she was 2 (yes, 2) and says she used to scroll through KZitem and listen to the likes of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzerald, Louis Armstrong... the says "...the music found me... Gentlemen, At 9 years 2 months, Angelina was a power on her own. THIS band coined her nickname THE BOSS, that is used still today among musicians. She never bosses around, but when Angelina asks, shouldn´t we take this a key higher ??? You can bet your car on it, she is right. I mean, when a seasoned military band conductor of around 45 years asks a 11 year old for advise, it speaks for itself. Since age 12 she is her own boss, she is CEO of Angelina Jordan Inc. and since 2020 she is with Republic Record as one of their top priority artists with guarantied freedom for her craft. The CEO Mr. Lipmann guarantied this and took it in her contract. This year, at 17, finished school, she is officially out and a lot of so called stars are shaking in their da.. shoes. Gentlemen, be safe and sound. Elmar from Germany.

At 2 and 3 she discovered all her idols who she says “unfortunately are all deceased” on you tube. And the rest is history. Love you guys❤

Guys, once again I really enjoyed your presentation and you're right on the money in your comments. But I have to say I'm disappointed in one thing. Last time you asked the question as to whether Angelina was exposed to music like this by her family, and you asked for it in the comments. I left you a brief biography which explained all of that. Now you're asking the same question again which tells me you did not read the comments. Every great reaction Channel interacts in the comments and generates loyalty from the viewers. I highly suggest you take that to heart going forward. Here is the biography I left last time. Peace. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy. She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records almost two years ago. She has not been widely promoted yet, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, she graduates school this year, and her new album of originals should be released within the next few months, followed by a world tour, possibly this summer. Here is a link from ages 6 to 17 of over 100 Angelina chronological KZitem performances with five originals. Here is a more comprehensive playlist of approximately 190 videos including tiktok and Instagram. Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond. Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you will not want to escape. Peace and love. We used to be able to read and respond to ALL comments; but, I must admit, since we have been growing fast, and MORE comments came, it is difficult to always read and respond to everyone - since it is only the two of us. I saved your comment here onto my laptop, so I can take the time to become informed on it. Please dont feel we ignored you intentionally. @@tazzznphilly @Tazzz N Philly I thank you for your genuine response. I do understand that as a channel grows it becomes more difficult to keep up with things, But it is worth the effort to try, especially to acknowledge answers to questions you have asked in your reaction. Feel a bit better that you are not the only one this happens with in my experience. I am a great fan of Angelina, and also spend considerable time as an advocate for young artists and reaction channels. As just a labor of love, myself and a few others advise reactors as to how to best grow their channels. I personally have a marketing background and have watched literally thousands of reactions over the past few years. A great reaction as you already provide is obviously essential, but just the starting point. Great job in providing that! Building fan loyalty in the comments and making your viewers feel part of what you do are key, as is helping to promote their favorite artist at a higher level. That helps the artist and also increases loyalty even further. If you would like, I would be happy to communicate with you via Instagram, Facebook Messenger, or email about various ideas to help your channel and please your viewers even further. Thanks for what you do, and I know I can offer you some valuable suggestions. Peace and love.

@@ronraskind Thanks Ron for the reply. Sure, thank you. I would be a fool to pass up GENUINE advice. It is always good to have an open mind. Philly and I have alot of dedicated subscribers - many I have grown to know alot of within their personal lives, since we do comment frequently, and on a personal level - not just saying, "thanks". One of our dedicated subscribers just came back from being ill, and we had a nice heart to heart. So, I definitely know the value of commenting, and showing loyalty. Lots of info in the comments - listening to jazz since she was 2 - her grandmother introduced her, and she couldn't get enough of it! Listened constantly to jazz ... old standards ... then just went into everything else! Did you see that she won "Norway's Got Talent at age 7/8?! WON! YOu've barely scratched the surface - she's 17/18 now , but you'd miss way too much if you just skip to that. For a quick taste of the variety of her styles and abilities, here's an overview of the songs you just can't miss! Either "What a Difference a Day Makes" (8 - by Billie Holliday?), or "Summertime" (-Many old artists - Age 8) or both! - "Fly Me to the Moon" (Famous by Frank Sinatra - Age 8 or 9) ; "Every Time We Say Goodbye" (10) ; "Stay" (by Rihanna - 11 or 12) ; "A Million Years Ago" (Adele - age 12?) ; and her current new original, "Love Don't Let Me Go." Those are cannot miss!! --But there are so many others in between that others will tell you you cannot miss - and you really can't go wrong - so if you have an appreciation and want to continue, you have over a hundred songs to wonder over and enjoy! Beware (or be thrilled!!) - she'll get right into your soul.

Angelina is one of those rare natural talents that just makes you believe in magic. I'm not really a Jazz music fan, but damn this girl makes me want to hear more of her. From all the stories I've heard about her she is not only an incredible talent, but she is an amazing compassionate person as well as well as incredibly smart too; I think she is up to what 3 to 5 languages now on top of her music writing and musical arrangement abilities. From what I understand she did all the arrangement for this performance and it was a one off as using her voice like she does in this version at her age would damage it if she continued, but she wanted to pay homage to Scremin Jay Hawkins.

9years old an 2 months. She rewrote the lyrics she arranged this and hand wrote her "Wishes" for the band to follow (shown in the first part of the video) she studied 1956 Screaming Jay Hawkins and did this all at 9. The band loved her so much they were calling her Boss and many of the bang went on to do other recordings with her,,, and Angelina's parents are very supportive of her singing as long as she gets her studies first, and this went all the way to her signing in with a republic Records at 14 years old stating she could not do major concerts or massive work until she graduated and RR CEO personally signed the contract. She will be dropping her first album under RR later in 2023 at 17 years old. .... Grandma is her influence on the old jazz sounds and grandma is also a artist in ART and you will see about any picture, back ground, or costume AJ wears is one of grandmas paintings including the illustrations on AJs Book and the entire lyrics version of "Million Miles" Grandma also produced the music video of Suspisous Minds" and helped in music video if "Valerie" and "My Funny Valentine" Grandma is usually the one taking the videos of all her performances when back stage and in studios

The one video that sent me on the Angelina Jordan journey of joy and happiness ! This is an absolutely mind blowing performance from a nine year old girl ! Fearless, competent, sincere, passionate are words to describe her and are imbedded in her DNA ! But guys honestly she is a natural stage professional at even 9 because she won Norway's Got talent at 8 years old with jazz classics that blew the judges and audience out of their seats ! Something you have to witness for sure actually watch the four song mini version as it's uncanny how riveting this girl is on stage ! Angelina as well may not know has been singing since the age of 1 1/2 yrs old and has jazz infused in her background because she listened to Billie Holiday , Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong from the crib basically ! It's crazy to think a child can inhabit this kind of emotional connection and deliver adult performances so so young ! She is a prodigy and I hope you continue the other 175 covers and originals in her catalogue of great music ! You will be amazed at her versatility in tackling difficult classic songs ! Enjoy my friends and thank you so much for joining the millions who love our barefoot princess ! 👍🇨🇦❤️

Great 2nd reaction to Angelina, Guys! I guess the word FANATICS isn't too far off, but we're VERY well founded fanatics 😅 Because there simply IS no one like Angelina out there. You're still completely new to her, but I believe that you're already starting to understand that you're on to something VERY special here. And MAN! if you are. If this had been recorded 2 months earlier, she would have been 8, so your age assumption was spot on. Well done👍 Personally I would have loved if you could dive into her performances on Norway's Got Talent, which she won in 2014 at age 8, Her first audition was made while she was still 7. That's how I got to hear her for the first time myself, and I have been following her closely ever since. I have a chronological list of all 4 of her performances, and they serve as the perfect foundation to understand WHAT and WHO Angelina is as an artist. Here is the list : 1) Gloomy Sunday (Billie Holiday) : kzitem.info/news/bejne/039swJyIpGpne6g 2) I'm A Fool To Want You (acapella performance, and also originally by Billie Holiday) : kzitem.info/news/bejne/rY6h1ICQfaGDiYY 3) Bang Bang (originally written by Sonny Bono in 1966 and performed by his wife Cher, but maybe made MOST popular by Nancy Sinatra) : kzitem.info/news/bejne/qXmXqq2fqqVoipw 4) Summertime (by George Gershwin) This was her final performance in the competition : kzitem.info/news/bejne/lWpp1naJqapmdWk With that I wish you a very happy Easter, Guys! Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥ Btw, I subbed to your channel after your first reaction to her 🙂🙃🙂

Tazzz kinda hit the point. In fact, Angelina was just born, literally with a mic in her hand, while singing the Whitney Houston version of "I will always love you" absolutely pitch perfect with the lyrics rephrased by herself to make them more appropriate for her age. A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. In the band, she was called a boss.

You have to keep going back at least more two years before this one to get to an age (mid-7 or younger) where Angelina was singing "like a child" (i.e., being a bit pitchy - especially in the louder parts, not having great breath control, etc.). Those videos (just a handful of them) don't tend to get recommended a lot, for obvious reasons, but they're out there. But even in those cases, IMO, you can see that there's something special about her. There's a certain sincerity and a sensitivity in her singing that makes it always feel like she's genuinely trying to "do the song justice" - even when she (arguably) comes up a bit short in that regard, because she simply doesn't yet have the level of control necessary to pull off what she's trying to do. (Speaking of going back in time…) People will be pointing you to a clip where she was singing Whitney Houston at 1½. That is definitely something you should see eventually, but you have to be careful: most of the uploads of that contain short clips of other performances that people will want you to react to the full versions of. So, if you're pointed to a TV segment that's about 5½ minutes long and starts with a female presenter talking about her in Norwegian, I recommend not watching it until you've reacted to at least her "Gloomy Sunday" audition for _Norske Talenter_ [Norway's Got Talent] and her studio recording session for "I Who Have Nothing" (not the Whitney Houston song "I Have Nothing" but a different song by Ben E. King [covered by many artists, including Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey], which she sang in a modest recording studio when she was… let's just say, "very young" [opinions differ as to whether the evidence points to her being 8, 7, or 6]). Alternately, you could just watch the part of that TV segment from around the 1 min 51 sec mark to the end of the "home movie" clip of her singing, and then stop (returning to it after you've reacted to those other things). Now, as for what to react to next, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to jump forward to something from the last year or so, to see what she's like "now". For this, the most popular choices would probably be her music video for "Suspicious Minds", her music video for "I Have Nothing", or a live version of the latter - or, put more simply: one of the 3 most recent videos on her Official channel.

As many people have told you already, the rabbit hole is very deep with this one. Not only do we have videos of her (singing and not) going all the way back to when she was literally a baby, her vocal performances span many different musical genres and singing styles, and have been delivered in all kinds of situations, from the most "produced" studio recordings and TV appearances down to the simplest "lemme just sing into my cell phone for a minute" videos (sometimes recorded as she strolls down a city sidewalk or through a park, etc.). There are live concerts, (formal) rehearsals, (informal) "jamming sessions" (where she is "trying out" a song with other musicians), solo "practice sessions" (where she's accompanying herself on piano or guitar), raw footage of studio recording sessions (shot inside of the recording booth), and other "behind-the-scenes" type footage from charity events, TV appearances, music video shoots, photo shoots, etc. There are "home movies" of her "everyday life", both at home and traveling abroad. There are one-take "KZitem covers" using either live musicians or karaoke tracks. There are what I call "home studio" recordings (where the audio and/or video has been edited to some extent, but not professionally). All kinds of stuff. And the amazing thing is how much of it - how much of her singing, I mean - is absolutely top-notch. The girl has an _amazingly_ high "batting average"…

Hawkins: someone put a spell on me God: who? Hawkins: A 9 years old Norwegian girl God: why don’t you write a song about it!!! Hawkins: I just did and here is the link kzitem.info/news/bejne/uKyLu2hqjJ-boXY God: Good job. Now let all the “Angels” listen to it and we’ll see what they think. Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction and keep up the good work.

Hey guys, nice that you took a peek down Angelina's rabbit hole. she was 9 on this song she arranged it herself from the original by Screaming Jay Hawkins in 1956. She won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 with songs by Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and the song Summertime from the movie Porky and Bess You are at the very beginning and I hope that you will embark on the further journey because there is a lot to discover, she is the best singer in the world in my opinion) but you will find out for yourself and believe me you will just as addicted as all other fans (Angels) to her voice, she is also called the barefoot angel with 1000 voices, why she always performs barefoot is another story, she can adapt and improve her voice to every song and also transport many emotions and not only has she written around 170 covers but also 5 originals by her as well as 2 written for her which are all amazing and legendary even now and lots to tell, i look forward to more reactions and have subscribed to you now, greetings Germany, by the way she is now 17 years old. Another tip, you should always watch your videos from start to finish because there is always a lot of information that is important thanks

Ok, now you need to go back in time a bit more, and watch her first audition on Norway’s Got Talent where Angelina sings “Gloomy Sunday” by Billie Holiday.

No musicians in the family, but her grandmother, Mery Zamani, is a widely respected painter and poet and was also a child prodigy. You'll see that name on several of Angelina's music videos. Angelina and her grandmother have a very close and loving relationship. Grandma listened to jazz and Angelina fell in love with it. She listened to a LOT of jazz, combining KZitem playlists. According to Angelina, “I have to say if it wasn’t for the unconditional love that came from Billie Holiday’s legendary music, there would not be Angelina Jordan today. I am very blessed today that her music found me very early,” Where to go next? You'll see a lot of recommendations for her Norway's Got Talent performances, but there's one you should see before those. Angelina in a recording studio at her school singing "I Who Have Nothing." This was nearly a year before NGT and hints at what she is capable of: kzitem.info/news/bejne/s6CHwH94qYiSmKg

Great reaction guys, well there are no words for this Angelina cover, it's just out of this world, vocals, tone and interpretation of the lyrics, arranged by her by the way, are completely insane but, with Angelina, every cover or original is sources of continuous amazement, genius and talent merged into a wonderful creature, thank you, good life Massimo
