I was lucky enough to be taught by Angeline at university, and to see her writing and performing is so incredibly special for me. One of the most insightful and talented instructors I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

What a hauntingly beautiful voice! Reminds me a bit of a female Leonard Cohen mixed with Annie Lennox, if Leonard Cohen could sing.

Amazing performance! Great song! Funny the boy was “stolen by English slavers…”. The vast, vast majority of trans Atlantic slaves were purchased by English slavers from African slavers. 200 years ago, Britain spent the majority of its annual budget on ending the slave trade around the world. Unfortunately, slavery is still practiced in Africa.
