This video is part 1 of 2 looking at angles and parallel lines. In this one we explore vertically opposite angles. In the second part we look at alternate, corresponding and allied angles (or F-angles and Z-angles as we used to call them)
In this video I begin by recapping that the angles in a triangle and the angles on a straight line will always add up to 180 degrees.
Then I show what we mean by vertically opposite angles and explain why these are always equal to each other.
Then I look at how to use this knowledge to answer questions where you have to find missing angles.
