To all those starting out or looking into Veganism due to Veganuary. I went Vegan 5 months ago. I wanted to do it for my health and fitness (I am an amateur athlete), but after starting on the path to veganism it was looking into the environment and animal welfare that has made it a switch for life. It has not been easy and there have been challenges over the last few months, however, I now feel way better than before, athletic ability is improving all the time, fitter than I have ever been at 35years. An unintended consequence is friends and family have taken note of my improved mood and physical appearance. Three close family members have ditched meat and now use soy milk due to seeing the change in me (dairy is a step too far for most). Numerous friends are questioning what is on their plate and cutting back on meat. A year ago I would never have believed I would have taken this path, I now believe eating meat will be frowned upon in our society within my life time.

About your unnatural, dangerous diet: 1. Very low in many essential amimo acids (glycine, lysine, methionine, tyrosine, tryptophan and of course taurine). Meat is NOT just about proteins. 2. Lack of/very low amount of vitamin B12, D3, K2, A, E & Omega-3/DHA&EPA. Low in vitamin B2 and B3. Vegan diet is very deficient in them (ALA from plants is hard to absorb for humans and it's conversion to omega-3 is VERY poor). You also need fat to somehow absorb vitamins A, D, E and K (they are fat-soluble). In nature our ancestors were getting most o f their fat from animal sources. It's impossible to get it (especially here in Europe) from plants only. In nature you would be deficient, become weak and die rather quickly. You also need to consume cholesterol - So you can produce your own vitamin D3. 3. VERY little amount of minerals (HEME iron, CALCIUM, zinc). Together with a very high amount of anti-nutrients (for example phytic acid) - Which are making you even more deficient (being unable to absorb your micronutrients). 4. High amount of sugar is depleting your (already low) levels of tryptophan - Thus lowering your serotonin. It's also constantly spiking your blood sugar and insulin levels (increasing your inflammation levels and eventually making insulin resistant). 5. It's not natural for us to eat highly processed foods (hormone wrecking soy - which is not even native to Europeans and many other people) and sugar. In nature fruits are seasonal (and no natural/wild type of fruit should be as high in sugar as the thing that you can find in your local market - Our ancestors had fruuts/veggies that were MUCH lower in carbs and a lot higher in seeds, starches&fiber). 6. Eating a ton of exotic (to your own land) plastic-wrapped plant-foods is toxic fir the environment. They need to be shipped across the globe for your lazy ass. In reason the amount of pollution caused by humans. It's against your (hypocritical) beliefs (your vegan religion). Now about your borderline fake (manipulative) vegan ideology/your VEGAN RELIGION: How many insects, small birds, rabbits, foxes, snakes, mouses and small deers are getting poisoned/murdered to produce their plant-foods on a large scale? Taking so much crap about a few bees, yet murdering other insects. Murdering wild animals with unnatural, big plant-harvesters. Polluting the environment by shipping their plant-based PRODUCTS wrapped in plastic around the whole human world. Eating exotic fruits and not your own local foods. Watch for more info & to take a look at what I'm talking about - kzitem.info/news/bejne/0Kx9rn-oZoCgpIY “Traditional veganism,” say Fischer and Lamey, “could potentially be implicated in more animal deaths than a diet that contains free-range beef and other carefully chosen meats.” "Perhaps the most extensive empirical information, write Fischer and Lamey, comes from a 2003 paper that estimated the average number of field deaths at about six per acre. That figure was extrapolated from earlier studies on rodent deaths during grain and sugarcane harvesting. Another oft-cited figure comes from an Australian finding of 40 mouse deaths per acre of grain. Wild bird, reptile, amphibian, and freshwater fish deaths are trickier to pin down but likely amount to a small fraction of the overall total, which Fischer and Lamey estimate at 7.3 billion wild animal lives." "Massive. Massive numbers. I grew up in a farming community. In the spring "plow", no snake moves fast enough to escape the plow. Most infant rodents and hatchlings are helpless as well. As a kid, I had to "brush mow" the field next to my parents' house and I remember being okay with every critter perishing but bunnies. (I'm a sucker for bunnies) Every year, I'd freak out and try to save 'em. No luck. They were minced into bunny bits and recycled into the ground. This says NOTHING about insects at all." "Many animals are killed in the process of "vegetarian" farming: it is simply inevitable and unavoidable. In the first place, the land has to be cleared of the original resident animals. They can be deterred up to a point, but there comes a time that they will return and must be exterminated. Even on organic farms, where "natural" methods are used to eliminate pests, the predatory insects eat the pests, which involves killing them first. It is almost impossible for fruits and vegetables to grow without phosphates and phosphates come from the bones of vertebrates" Again: "7.3 billion wild animal lives." In contrast to: "Animals consumed as meat and product: in the United States, an estimated 40 million cattle, 120 million pigs, and 9 billion chickens are killed each year." Vegans are FAR WORSE than pig and beef eaters taken TOGETHER. People buying their meat from small local farms are FAR better for the environment and animals (especially if they are eating better meat than GMO feed chickens). This is true animal cruelty - Causing all these animals to suffer for many hours. It's far less human than giving them a short death in a professional way and gaining something out of it (not doing it as a byprouct of another action for no real reason/need - like in modern agriculture). If you are a psychotic delusional borderline (like many people from vegan cult) - The best way to not kill animals is to eat only dairy and infertile eggs from free-range animals (buy it from natural, small farms) or having your own cow/chickens, giving them your unstable "love" and never killing them. Only this way you can stay healthy, kill no animal (protecting them for their whole existence) and no living plant (they are living and trying to survive as well you ignorant bastard). Of course (as we all know) vegns are not giving a damn about animals (it's a MASK) and other humans - They are focused only on their own extreme delusional feeling and unstable egos. They are not respecting other people and EVEN THEIR OWN BODIES. Starving and harming their own body for some ideology.

@@ivonastrukar4715 I agree with all you say! But to highlight a small part: "In nature you would be deficient, become weak and die rather quickly." is the reason I don't take vegans on extended survival trips. Even after a few days to become to weak to even think rationally and carry their luggage.

I went vegan for a few month preferably for health reasons. It didn't go as planned. My mood got worse, I developed acne and bloating. I'm an avid researcher on human nutrition but all vegan recomendations didn't help. I've always wondered if people are more prone to being capable of veganism due to genetic and an ancestral microbiome. It's hard to believe veganism is the future when I see many ex vegans have the same symptoms. I don't believe in being guilted into changing your diet for humane reasons because then people go into it without an understanding of what the body needs. Many ex vegans suffer for that reason and it doesn't do it justice for making positive change in the world without considering all the factors. My compassion for humans is stronger than animal.

I am 62 years old. I was raised on a dairy farm. I am plant based/vegan. Once I realised I didn't need animal products to survive I stopped consuming them. I know this is best for animals, my health and the environment. I have an issue with this video in that it expects farming to swing from animal agriculture to re-wilding. I can see why this upsets farmers so much. I propose you consider the practicalities of this massive change and come up with some practical and do-able suggestions of how people like my dad could survive in the countryside. We would need a lot more food than 5 a day for a start. I would starve on 5 a day!! Let's start planting/re-planting orchards that have been ripped out during my lifetime. Replace the lost hedgerows. Stop using fertiliser and replenish the soil with green manure crops. Growing more trees is a must but it doesn't mean necessarily re-wilding everywhere. Fruits, nuts, berries comes to mind for all of us hungry vegans. I could go on. Let's be more positive and supportive to help our farmers change from animal agriculture to plant farming as well as enabling them to re-wild areas. I'd love to see all of those wild flowers and insects I remember as a very fortunate young child. This video only upsets those who are in the farming world and need to know just what they can do on a practical level Ed. They are struggling already. Suicide is rife. Get people talking is the answer.

I´m a long time vegan familyman liiving with my vegan wife and 5 vegan children in rural SW Spain for the last 11 years. When we first got to Spain veganism was virtually unheard of in the general populace with maybe 5% of the people we met actually able to grasp what veganism was and as a result we regressed (somewhat shamefully) to a vegetarian diet for about a year. Thankfully though we soon got back on track and have never looked back no matter how much effort was required to make child friendly vegan cuisine in an environment so devoid of vegan options ( read - non existent). Thankfully in the last few years veganism is finally gaining a foothold here with plantbased options available in most supermarkets now thanks to the people like Ed and all those participating in events like veganuary changing market dynamics. Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the effective efforts and contributions to raising awareness to this all important issue. Eat vegan, raise your vibration. The ethical reasons for veganism, to me, are the real reasons to go vegan with health gains and environmental healing as wonderful side effects. Finally, if you ever thought the saying "you are what you eat was true or relevant, how about what we drink too? Please research VIKTOR SCHAUBERGER (to water what Nikola Tesla was to electricity) to find out more about the true value and properties of water and how to revitalise your own supply! A blessed 2020 to all! PS In response to Ed talking of taxpayers I just had to add : A FINE is a TAX for being bad, a TAX is a FINE for being good :)

I can listen to Ed all day long :) - People DONT realize that chicken and fish are actually worst for their heath as well. And, the ‘ethical’ farming consumers going on about how they care about animal is just excuses to continue consuming animals and feel like they are “good people’ - funny how they go on about it, trying to convince themselves they are doing the right thing. A guy was saying he consume ethical meat out of kindness, wow! I learnt allot of good rebuttals from Ed. When I told him that letting animals live and not kill them IS the kindness thing he can do! @codybourque6099
4 жыл бұрын
@@aliceorlik7737 you nailed it with balance. The tricky part is finding that balance through trial and error. Balance is very individual as everyone has there own set requirements based on lifestyle. That is where the bacterial overgrowth can happen, a lack of balance. The approach to new vegans may be ignorant without a full understand of the bodies basic requirements yet even the basics aren't always good enough without the supervision of a sertified microbiologist to monitor the dietary change. People are waking up to the animal cruelty and changing their diet for that reason, but that's the scary part. Most new vegans cut out meat without changing anything else before having serious symptoms that make them second guess veganism. I think Ed has a heart of gold and he's intelligently persuasive. He's too good to which I feel could backfire on people doing it strictly for humane reasons and not considering there own needs. I've done my own research on the microbiome and it is a very complex system. We need more doctors and specialist that are considerate of vegans to keep up with the growing movement. It's growing too fast now with not enough personal support to help those suffering with the drastic change.
