My latest attempt at reading Animal has left me convinced more than ever before that George Orwell is a true genius of all times. The falsehood of today's revolutions was envisions in this story long before our time

It's more than just an allegory, it's so close to reality that the only difference is how many limbs are touching the ground. We are in a cage we think is unescapable, we think if we walk far enough away we will end up back where we started, mind control at it's best.

A cautionary tale indeed. This book should be taught in school, its a cautionary tale as to what's happening right now. 1984 or animal farm, Orwell could see the future, it was considered bleak and unimagional when he wrote it. Why are we accepting living through it now?

I keep seeing people saying how relevant it is today with politics and whatnot, I am from Australia and am still a student, would love some explanation on the parallels from this book to today
@joridazhegu6965
3 жыл бұрын
Excuse me but you make Australia look like it is located in another planet. The parallels are in the alegory that is used on the book and in the movie if you dont have time to read it and what's more important it is a reality that is so relevant even in nowdays in many cultures throughout the world no matter what you see in the facade. The alegory of this book can be found even in the society nowdays, how superficial everything looks and how through claiming justice and equality for all ( and never was that more of a lie than in these days) , everything is just a scam.
