I dig his run on X-Men. A lot of that stuff is still around today. Final Crisis and Multiversity both share really cool concepts and ideas which went into his run on Batman which was absolutely looney and gave us the basis dark knights metal. Marvel recently interviewed Grant Morrison and Jon Hickman on their KZitem channel. Someone in the comments stated that they wanted a Grant Morrison Dr Strange, and I thought wow! That would be absolutely perfect.

Thanks for making these videos, you always pick the best gems that show how versatile story-telling in comics can be. I've gifted so many of these comics to friends and every time they get hooked, buying the next volume just to see how it ends.

Its crazy that the biggest thing Animal Man has done since Grant Morrison's run is DC Nation where he is voiced by Weird Al Yankovic. He would be a good choice for James Gunn to include in his DC Universe

Ah, so this is what they meant about a comic book by Grant Morrisson. I read Arkham Asylum before this, but only now I understand how meta and crazy his comics are~ Again, thank you for choosing this comic to explain to us to those whom do not have the time nor leisure to read~ it was very entertaining:)

I LOVE that Buddys family came back. I LOVE that . Apart from that, This is a very stupid comic. It is ridiculous and unsettling. We love all of these characters and we love seeing their stories if they are Nice. Not stupid like time travel not working. Such a stupid run. Again, I LOVE that Buddys family came back. I want to see what other writers did with Animal man and his Family. This was ridiculous.

This always pops into my head when I view past and present images of Grant Morrison. Grant Morrison(past)with a full head of hair resembles director Clive Barker(late 1980's -90's). Grant Morrison(current)minus a full head of hair resembles musical artist Moby.

When an artist - creator writes or draws anything u can bet that every nuance of the work, every tiny detail has been included very specifically by them. Each slash and tittle, every word every color chosen for its meaning with intent to add to the story- its this way in practically all media - theres purpose directed in even the inflection and with your readings your knowledge of the origins, backgrounds etc move the action along without losing the listener instead drawing us in tighter - thanks- add more effects visually and auditory music and other sounds couldnt hurt if not overwhelming the story

Hey i know you most likely have a bunch of videos planned down the lone but, mark Millar is dropping his new series called big game which is connecting some of his previous books like kick-ass nemesis and wanted as well as his newest series ambassadors and I was wondering if you would cover that new series big game

I’ll be covering it. I usually wait until a series is done or collected in a trade paperback before covering it, but I think the hype for this one is too big, so might need to cover as it comes out. But either way, will be covering it some way.

Modern comics have a connection to myths from antiquity, with some Kabbalah influences which is itself originated from ancient mystery school systems.. Comics are filled with esoteric concepts. The more one is familiar with said concepts and practices your perspectives on certain aspects of this world will change. You'll never see comics,politics/entertainment the same again. Comic books can be used for spell casting i.e. influencing the minds of those receptive to annnnnnd I've said too much.

@dannymalt
Жыл бұрын
I initially thought they were ending the story in volume 2, so I was excited to cover it. But then Volume 2 just ends on a cliffhanger, and they don’t even have a date for a continuation. So I got annoyed by that and didn’t want to cover volume 2 until maybe an ending is in sight. I wanted a miniseries, not an ongoing that will take years for closure. So yeah, a little frustrated by that series.

Never explained, but I assume it's just something that would waste his time for a few minutes and then he could eventually get out on his own. Mirror Master just wanted to buy himself enough time to get away.

Didn't care for it. It felt very self absorbed. It became more and more boring to me with how meaningless it all was. Reading Isom #1 and starting to get into comics like Twig, I'm finding that I really just want a good story that gets into the characters and world. I want to share their world and feelings and talk to others about what the implications are. With this kind of book, it feels like it sucks all of the joy out of what I mentioned. The story just becomes some kind of personal subjective intellectual trip and a vehicle for the writers own opinions and agendas like he admits in this book. This is the best I can do to put into words as to why I didn't enjoy this series.

Grant Morrison is the most schizophrenic writer in the medium. He varies from issue to issue. Having written some thing as brilliant as We3 , about 2/3 of his material is utter crap like this. I can’t believe this was considered great storytelling at any point in time. Also, the art is also crap. It’s like some thing a high school kid would make. I cannot believe that these two guys were producing stuff for DC comics and got editorial approval. Hell I can’t believe they were even hired. Remarkably the only reason why we are hearing this is because at the time it sold well. I guess it was all that metaphysical stuff in issue 25. I don’t think anybody did that before.
