geardog24 Dragonball evolution is worse by far. At least Super Kid knows it's a rip-off and the audience knows it's a ripoff. And other then stealing a few character design it's trying to be its own thing. While evolution try to adapt plot points, characters, designs, etc it failed miserably at it. At least with the rip off we know it's a rip-off no harm no foul. While evolution is a Hollywood movie with millions of dollars put into it and that was the best they can come up with. At least Super Kid was made on a shoestring budget what's Evolutions excuse

Am I the only person who remembers Mystic Quest with any fondness? It was the simplest FF game, but it had some decent use of puzzle elements in dungeons that made your weapons actually matter outside of fights. Plus, the boss music was pretty good. Just look up The Dark King. Calling it the worst FF seems harsh in a world where we have FFXIII, xiii-2, and xiii-3.

I guess if anyone was observant enough to know, the music used in the "trailer" segment of the movie (with narration at the start of the review) is the main opening theme from ZONE FIGHTER (or RYUSEI NINGEN ZOON), a Toho produced tokusatsu television series that aired in 1973. And it had guest stars Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and Gigan from the Godzilla franchise. Just for anyone who didn't know. ;)

@ChristopherSobieniak

The real problem there isn't the films themselves, but it's a KZitem filter people use (or are supposed to use) when they want to stop the image from shaking around. You're not supposed to use this filter for videos that are obviously not recorded by a phone or camcorder in this case. Unfortunately a lot of KZitemrs don't know this and they put it on thinking that would 'fix' the film when it doesn't. It just ruins it, especially when movement is supposed to happen like in a pan.

Man, Mystic Quest gets a lot of hate for a bunch of reason beyond the game itself. I keep hearing people getting all pissy because it was developed because some stupid corporate schmucks thought nobody outside of Japan are bad enough dudes to handle a tough RPG. So many people take the perceived insult to their skills to heart and let it color their perception of the game itself, automatically decrying it as "too simplistic" and "oh man, we got this instead of a true Final Fantasy, how lame!" (although that was actually true for Europeans, which is due to stupid licensing decisions) The game itself is actually alright. It isn't as groundbreaking as any of the other giants from Square at the time, but it was actually fun. Someone looking for something as serious and epic as any of the 'true' Final Fantasies will be severely disappointed, but its goofy, lighthearted, clever at times with its Zeldaesque dungeon puzzles and honestly brilliant plot twist, and enough of a bite at times to challenge beginners. This is what drew me into Secret of Mana, which led me to the rest of Square's SNES classics. Its a beginner's game through and through, and that isn't a bad thing to be. but seriously, I can just imagine getting Final Fantasy II (the Japanese II not IV) and being absolutely destroyed by it and getting turned off JRPGs for a long time. I had troubles getting anywhere in the OG Final Fantasy as a kid, and basically sailed around with the boat until I got bored and looked for something else, encountering something just as frustrating would have done me in.
