Why is this technique different than the older one? Is one better than the other? Also, in this video the stretch of tape is 'moderate to heavy' vs percentages. Is there a reason you switched? The percentages were more accurate. I use KT tape and will continue to refer to the percentages vs moderate, etc. Plus showing where and description of where to tape were much better in the last/older video. Thanks in advance for your reply

There are certainly several ways you can apply the tape. These new videos are intended to focus on self-application techniques. A lot of people get confused by the % stretch numbers, and it's not exact, so using light, moderate, etc. has been easier for many people to follow. But feel free to continue using what works for you. The older videos will remain up and live here on KZitem for you to access. Thanks!

Does it matter what kind of kt tape you use?

Any of our kinesiology tapes will work for this application. We offer four main lines of kinesiology tape: PRO, PRO Extreme, Cotton Original, and Cotton Gentle. PRO and PRO Extreme are 100% synthetic fiber that keeps its elasticity longer (which means the kinesiology benefits last longer) and can be worn effectively for 4-7 days. Its synthetic fibers also repel water and have a safety reflective pattern. Our PRO Extreme has an intense level of adhesive for the most extreme conditions like heat and humidity. Our Cotton tape can be worn effectively for 1-3 days. Our Cotton Gentle tape has a more gentle removal process.
