@@AndreFosterIt’s because TDL has a bigger budget. When there’s two companies investing into a theme park instead of one it makes building these types of rides much more affordable. Disney should be embarrassed at how much better the OLC is at building Disney parks.

I think the biggest difference is that OLC doesn’t give Imagineers a budget as long as they get the type of quality of rides they’re looking for.
@Heifer2997
4 ай бұрын
@@paltin86 I don’t think that’s true anymore. I think the real reason is, OLC is much better at managing Imagineering than Disney is. In a Disney owned park, they’ll let the budget spiral out of control and get very poor value for money. OLC makes sure that imagineering hits deadlines, meets quotas and keeps quality control. OLC expects results and checks up on imagineering frequently. For example. Euro disney has that 2.5 billion expansion to Disney studios and all it has turned into is the terrible avengers land and a clone of the frozen boat ride at EPCOT. Fantasy Springs is rumored to cost 2.1 Billion and it is a far larger expansion with more attractions of a far higher quality.

Oh hey this version does pretty much everything HK's failed to do with the freedom to rework the ride without the restrictions of reusing Maelstrom's footprint. No pointless marshmallow, the lift is an actual scene now, and just more time to flesh out the story. And a more coherent one to boot, we're listening to the trolls re-tell the events of the film rather than attending some vague party after the fact that we never see. Let it Go's inclusion made no sense from a thematic perspective without the ride reflecting Elsa's character arc from the film (which this version DOES). Great job, I hope Paris is getting this version! Edit: I'm going to gush about this some more I guess. I LOVE how the blocking of A+E is used throughout the first half of the ride to show their emotional distance. Every scene they appear in together has them separated by a wall of some sort (I particularly like the moment at 1:09), and eventually with ice by Elsa's own creation. A small thing perhaps, but so many rides ignore simple, yet effective theatrical devices for flashy spectacle alone!
