I get the impression the guy isn't a goth, but decided to wear what he thought would be a goth *costume* for this interview, because it's Anne Rice. Don't be so hard on him, or focused on what he's wearing, it was a good interview, and he knew his stuff, surely that's more important?

This is the best interview I have ever seen of Anne Rice--and I have made a point of seeing many, which were much longer. Highest praise to interviewer Raziel Reid, and Anne? You're so lovely :) Thank you for so many entertaining and beautiful, life-affirming books.

I love Anne Rice. Very classy, and down to earth. And a great author too !.

The last question about whether to take the Chrism, how she responded to his rejection of the idea, really stuck with me. I attended the Lestat Ball in 2013 and 2014, and in 2014 someone interviewed me in line at the venue and asked if I would take the Dark Gift (vampire equivalent of the Chrism). In my early 20s, like this interviewer, I said no. But when Anne said "That's because you're young" it hit me, because after almost ten years, my perspective shifted as I aged a decade and came to the same conclusion that now, like Anne, I too would gladly take it. I'd much rather have the Dark Gift than the Chrism, I think there is a bit more of a brutality to her morphenkind (werewolves) than her vampires, but at the end of the day age has brought me to changing my perspective on the allures of immortality.

this is such a wonderful interview. the bit where Anne mentioned she'd only been in one great love affair during her life [rest in peace, Stan Rice] but that she was open to falling in love with a woman- her openness, her candor and her humanity, all of the things she depicts so vividly in her books, was in action there.

Vim empolgada aos comentários, pensando em como o carinha entrevistou bem, achando que ia ver considerações, sobre a obra da anne... e vejo a galera falando da roupa do carinha.

I don't have extensive knowledge of her but whenever I've seen her being interviewed she has always presented herself with eloquence & consideration, certainly in terms of religion & homosexuality.Perhaps Pope Francis ought to approach her with a view to listening to her thoughts...unless of course his recent observations regarding homosexuality is simply lip service.

how backwards we were raised... I was raised by very seculiar parents regardless of all my grandmothers/grannies to do so otherwise. My Dad was an athiest during all my formative years... My Mom gave up on Christian thought at 15 years old when her parents got divorced in the early sixties. It was three sisters/girls in Palatka, FL who got me involved in this Jesus stuff...Oct. 1978.... In 1980... I moved away to Mayport, FL. All the "Christian" folk turned me off with all their send me money "thing"... I didn't see what the fuss was untill my parents went to church... my Dad, the athiest, was born again.... Mom right beside him, early 2004... Regardless of all I just wrote... I go to New Orleans... light candles in Louis... then pray on my knees before the Saints then I sit in the last pew and pray some more. As much as I say I hate religion, I love ... I love Catholics and every ritual... all that molesting boys/students... time to clean house. Time to to make the Pope at least condone same sex marriage... it's really hard to compromise but in the name of peace... justified. I want to be Catholic. Gordon

Reinterpret to "fit" your lifestye? God doesn't change. Why should we think He will now? Is this her son interviewing her?
