If you want machine washable knits I’d recommend going 100% cotton. You can wash them without too much fuss and lay flat to dry. Cotton doesn’t pill like many animal-based fabrics and holds up well over time. You can find a lot of 100% cotton sweaters at retailers if you look for them. GL❤

You might as well try Old Navy. The prices are great and they have cotton blend sweaters- both cardigan and pullover styles. I have t shirts that are a cotton and modal blend that have not pilled or become discolored despite multiple washings. I cannot say the same for my Jcrew t-shirts.
@amapola9202

Okay be very careful with this, but you can actually machine wash most wool/merino/cashmere. I always wash all my wool, even the one that says to dry clean only, and I’ve had no problems so far. I don’t own any wool sweaters from a high end designer brand though, mostly thrift store and Uniqlo ones, but they’ve all hold up well. I feel like there’s a misconception that you can’t wash wool, in reality, you can, but the thing you gotta be very careful about is heat. Always wash on cold wether you’re washing by machine or by hand, and wash on the delicate cycle. Some machines even have a wool setting. And also obviously do not at any point put it in the tumble dryer, that’s what ruins wool. Always lay flat to dry away from the sun. You can also get special wool detergent, though, I always wash with my regular detergent and it’s been fine. You might wanna try doing this with stuff you already own or try going to a thrift store and get a cheap wool sweater from there to try and see if that’ll be something you’ll be comfortable with before you commit to a higher end item. I know it’s not the same as all items are different, but like I said, most wool can be washed, it’s a matter of getting used to it and putting the care it needs. I also recommend not washing your wool knits that often, wait for a couple of wears until they go on the wash. Idk if this’ll be useful for you, but good luck :)

Why is it all so bland? Why do all these stores just produce the same boring neutral only clothing? Neutrals are OK, but neutral on neutral on neutral with no colour is just bland and boring. It shows no imagination and to my mind little style. Play with colour and patterns to create something unique. You don't need to dress in boring neutrals to look stylish, in fact it can make you look dull. There are so many designers producing much higher quality, imaginative, interesting clothes for the same or lower prices. Why would I buy a plain white T shirt when I could spend the same amount of money on something that has far more character and style? Like a Lucy and Yak rainbow T shirt. I have one and I can safely say it gets worn far more than my one white top. My plain navy blue trousers stay in the wardrobe, but my blue jeans with embroidered sunflowers get worn a few times a week. My one plain navy dress for funerals and job interviews hangs in my wardrobe, yet I live in my orange, red and yellow tie dye dress in Summer. My one pair of black flats get worn very occasionally. I have had my multi coloured floral docs for many years and I live in them in Winter. I know my style isn't for everyone, but I wish designers would have a bit more imagination. They could even imagine their designs on someone who's not 5'8 and a size 2. Colour isn't bad and it doesn't make a piece less longlasting or stylish.

I happened to be by their Soho location a few weeks later and I’m so glad I popped in the store because everything is about their aesthetic with very little quality to justify their prices so I’ll never shop from them again.
