I've worked and owned car washes in the past. Once I got out of the business and into "Auto Polishing and Protection", we use touchless washes in the winter, and I do "rinseless" washes with Optimun No Rinse. My gf got a Sahara 4×E September of 2021. Since she isn't going to take it out for a hard life of off reading I did a minot paint "correction" (only needed a light polishjng) and ceramic coated it. The coating is rated for two years but it will probably last way past that.

Lol I love your kind. My favorite people to talk too. "The know it alls." The side brushes stopped because the wrap tension got tight. It does this to prevent ripping your back tire off. Also for safety reasons that would suck an employee in and hurt or kill them. Side omni pumps go out all the time which sucks. (Don't know what the hell you called it) and NEO GLIDE FOAM DOES NOT SCRATCH VEHICLES! You driving through with salt on your vehicle does more damage then the car wash did. Rinse that shit off before going in. Good thing the tension was set properly or those lights would have gone all the way down the side of your jeep and you'd be responsible.
@MotoCheez

The sensors are supposed to detect the size 8f the vehicle and when sprayers come on. Of course there's a tension and it's a good thing it worked properly. I'm not a know-it-all, but I do know mechanicals 100%. It's not the first car wash I've gone through. I know a Wrangler is a tough vehicle to go through these. . No need to get defensive.
@aussy_mo

@@MotoCheez there are 2 sensors one on each side that measure the length of the vehicle nothing else. I would recommend you stay away from car washes that have mitters (long curtain things) those are the things that scratch vehicles. They dangle inside truck beds and pick up all the mud and debris and they don't have a rinse so that's going down every single car. Sorry for being defensive your reactions drive me nuts. The biggest car wash complaint is it made a weird noise and now I have damage. Then you go to the cameras and show them the damage was there prior to even washing. Then you go online to forums showing pictures of "car wash damage" which are curbed rims scratches from dragging the vacuum hose across the car or a car covered in mud that has paint marring all over it. How is any car wash responsible for crappy driving habits or failure to read paint care in the owners manual?
@MotoCheez
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for clarifying, the length always seems to not see the spare tire.. BUT I added a snorkel so I don't do the brush style car wash anymore, I only did it go the undercarriage wash because of the high sodium chloride usage in my area. I have plenty of scratches so I don't care about those. I do have a pressure washer and undercarriage wand but in the winter it would just create an ice sheet 😁. Have a good day

@@MotoCheez ya every car wash needs to have undercarriage equipment especially where the spread a lot of salt. The sensors only sit about 3 feet high so unless a hand is over it it won't be able to tell. We have rewrap retracts on ours for that very reason. Lots of jeeps around me. Have a good day

What do you mean side OMNI pumps go out all the time? OMNI's are from SONNY'S and these are Belanger wheel stingers. SONNY'S pumps are by far the best in my opinion, where I work we have the pendulum wheel spinners, our H25 pump has been nothing but good to us and keeps running strong. As long as you keep oil/water fed to the pump itself when running, check the belts, make sure the electric motor is maintained annually and you'll be good to go with pumps from SONNY'S.

What you are calling stingers are wheel blaster. That’s not incl with a basic wash. That wash is okay, the only wrong they did was not power washing the Jeep before it went thru the wash. Car washes should remove as much dirt as possible to avoid dirt and debri from getting on the mitters that clean the car. That’s a nice Jeep, it is ideal to hand wash it, but who wants to do that in the cold weather. Nice video!
