very nice review! I've been thinking of these for a while to use them as a studio monitor for my ASM Hydrasynth Explorer which will my first piece for my studio.

Thanks! I wouldn’t use them as monitors though, as the dsp does cheat the sound a bit. Great for listening, not so much for accuracy.

I saw your Paradigm/Anthem review, so I will share a trick with you. The Anthem receiver you evaluated had ARC (room correction built-in). Paradigm is still sitting on new old-stock of the Paradigm PWLink modules ($200) that will enable you to add room correction to virtually any system. The Link has both analog/digital inputs and outputs and a DTS Play-Fi streamer that actually (now) works. For the M20s, you could come out of the Link as analog or digital into the speakers. This would give you Hi-Res audio plus the ability to connect your TV and another analog source (turntable, turner, etc...). All switching on the Link is automatic, so once you set it up and set the volume you're done. The one thing with Play-Fi is that while Hi-Res gapless audio now works, you might have to drop the sample/bit rate down from 24/192 to 16/44.1 or 24/96 for best results as everything still goes thru your phone or tablet. On my system (Rotel A11 Tribute/KEF LS50 Metas) I come out of the DAC (analog) into the Link then from the analog output back into the Rotel. I also use the optical in on the Link to handle the optical output from my TV. While I have tested Play-Fi, I'm using Audrivana Studio to drive the DAC. I probably wouldn't have gone this route if Play-Fi worked when I got the Link in 2021. If you don't want to go down the Link route, but still want Hi-Res use the Wiim Mini. It's brilliant and can be had for

That sounds cool! Thanks, if I end up going the Anthem Paradigm route in the future I’ll definitely give that a go!

I hade some Q Concept 20s(?) a few years back and lover them. I've been looking for a larger Q powered speaker and these look like a good possibility. The walnut looks nice too. I have some Klipsch Fives now. Ever heard those? Btw, I am still rocking a pair of AR Rock Partners (powered) from back in the 80's. (also sold under Advent) . Google that! Subbed.

That’s awesome, and thank you! If you’re looking at large speakers and you’re a fan of Q Acoustics, the 3030i is amazing. Another option (but much pricier) is the Monitor Audio silver 100. I had the older RX2 and loved it. I havent heard the Fives yet, but hopefully one day soon! There’s so much great stuff on the market now!

Thanks for a great video! I am looking to change up our living room setup (condo). I currently am using a pair of Klipsch rp400 speakers driven by a Denon PMA-150h integrated amp. I am going back and forth between 3030i with Cambridge AXR 100 and a Bluesound node 2i streamer vs M20 with the Bluesound node 2i. I am hesitant on spending a lot of money spend as this our second hifi system with the Den setup being the main listing room. If you would just compare the speakers 3030i vs M20 would you say there is an appreciable difference in sound quality in the 3030i’s? In the US, they cost the same? Granted, the M 20 is an all in one amp and speaker. If I can get away with the M20 and the blue sound node streamer, and not lose a lot of sound quality that would be fine with me?

Hey thanks for watching! For a second system I think its a great and flexible system. There is a difference in sounstage and depth, but you already have a system that does has all that. I’d go for it!

Do you think these would be suitable for PC speakers? I don't do any studio work just normal use for music gaming etc

I think that is a perfect scenario. They used gaming imagery in their promos.

Generally a nit pick, they do a great job none the less. In all honesty if they're not receiving input for 20+ minutes then it's safe to presume you're not actively using them, If you are then it never becomes an issue. Everyday i switch all of my equipment off at the wall before bed anyways incase of fire, so I have to flick switches regardless... it's never bothered me in these circumstances.

Wait, so everytime you turn these on, they don't remember the last input which was selected? Wow, total deal breaker for me.
