You know something evil is afoot when Hans assumes the accent and becomes EuroHans
@madshaolin
6 ай бұрын
People forget that Hans has a Danish parent and family members as well as friends. His "Euro-Accent" --as you say--might just be bleed-over from speaking in another language for extended periods of time before coming to the game. As a heritage speaker of German, I can tell you that if I spend too much time around German speaking friends and family, one language affects the other--even if speaking English, you can pick up a native's accent from being around them speaking English. It's called linguistic parroting. Some people are immune from it, while others are not. Hans, like me, is a susceptible to this, obviously. In German, we call this "nachplappern" which is a funny word, but the phenomenon is real. People who move from the mid-West to New York or to the South can find themselves picking up the local sound, even if unintentionally. Either you are given to this strange thing, or you're not.

@theNfl_Esq yeah but it doesn't make sense someone who's been getting smashed OTB all year except for one tournament where he was accused of cheating, all of a sudden soars to number 3 ranked online and wins the next week's title Tuesday. And the timing of St Louis Banning him right after he did that is very strange. So either Han started cheating online to get attention thinking it would get him an invite from St Louis and he started pestering them , or they came to the same conclusions I have and figured they better not invite them to their tournaments or other players won't show up.
