Try to see the growl singing as a way to express certain emotions such as despair, anger, misunderstanding etc... and yeah, the voice is an instrument. When a guitar uses a distorsion, or delay or wah wah effect, it is to enhance some parts of the lyrics. Well, that is the same for growling. And it requires a hell of a technique.

You haven't reviewed one of their live performances yet. Tatiana is an absolute superstar on the stage. You just cannot take your eyes off her. Not only because she's beautiful, but because she has such explosive stage presence. In real life she's a shy, timid young woman, but something takes possession of her when she steps on stage, and she transforms into a star. Please review one of their live performances

Very good that you have reacted again to my favorite band, this is my favorite song as well. They have a live version from Wacken Open air when they played there last year. Believe or not, Tatiana surpasses the quality of the official video while singing live! It’s just beautiful to listen to her and the guys, you should check it out! Would you dare? Rock on and cheers from Norway!

Jinjer - I speak astronomy, next please! When you get used to screaming and growling You will find that vocal style as just another form of expression. And when you accept that as totally normal you will feel emotions end energy that no other kind of music will ever give you. Jinjer is great start, and also i recommend to check band Gojira, they have very accessible growling vocalist emotional and melodic when you get use to Jinjer check Gojira - Born in winter or L'Enfant sauvage or Stranded in this songs are good start point.

I remember watching you "Dissin" "JINJER", because you don't understand.. Welcome back! Tatiana Shmaylyuk' is around your size, 110 pounds wet,.. And extremely talented.. She uses the vocal Growl",.. Because she can! People say,.. It's not her,.. Or she uses electronics for assistance... I've seen "JINJER" LIVE"... It is her! I've accepted the fact that it's her personal training,.. The control she's formed from her Diaphram, her breathing, and her vocal cords and muscles in her neck that she is able to produce this... Dirty,.. Grungy..Demonic, yet beautiful Growl.. She uses this ability to enhance emotion's of Anger, Frustration, or Pain.. Her beautiful singing voice represents Anxiety, Happiness, and Self-Assurance... She has always had a beautiful singing voice... You should see her sing Adele's' songs... She's better! Honestly...! JINJER" is in a Genre' all their own.. If you give them a chance,?.. You'll hear Rap',.. Soul',.. Hard Rock',.. Regae',.. Jazz',.. Plus a few other surprises from Ukraine.. The song: 'PERENNIAL'... Have you ever wished you could drop all your problems,.. Go to that special, secret place... Bury yourself.. And wake up again... All new? That's what this is about... Tatiana writes all the lyrics on the songs... All but 2... Eugene... The Bass player helps out at times... They're all.... Very talented... From the Ashes' of my Roots'... A New' me,... Will Rise' to live again... This is 'Poetry of Youth'... This, is Poetry of me, and you.. Tatiana' is an AMAZING lyricist! Read the lyric videos... And no- one... Male, or Female.. Sounds like her... Try: Retrospection' Official video,.. Or 'Pit of Consciousness'... Both songs are very deep.. Hope to see you again soon! Subbed!! More "JINJER" please!

Some suggestions to help you ease into the growls from some female-fronted bands that (IMO) don't hit quite as hard as Tatiana does: Spiritbox "Blessed Be" is beautiful but kinda horror themed with influence from The Handmaids series (watch the floor in the less creepy scenes if you want to get creeped out more haha); also "The Mara Effect" videos (parts 1-3). Infected Rain "Orphan Soul" is beautifully bittersweet while "Mold" is probably pretty relatable. In This Moment (I've seen some folks have trouble with copyright with ITM, and others seem to have no problem, not sure what the difference is): "The In-Between", "Blood", and "Big Bad Wolf"; The Fighter isn't really metal IMO but is beautiful too. Amaranthe's "Do Or Die feat Angela Gossow" on paper seems like it should tear off your face because it is Angela effing Gossow but the mixing keeps it fairly light and the singer who does the cleans has a lovely voice.

you shouldn't feel the need to preface "your reaction" to a song/video by asking people not to be offended...if people are offended, then so be it...it takes less time than you think for someone to get over something...if I could make a suggestion, that you listen to this song again, in your own time of course, but have the lyrics handy, I think you'll enjoy it a whole lot more...it's quite a beautiful song when you can understand what she's singing about...Tatiana is a very good lyricist

Since you bothered to give this band another go, I shall bother to look up what else you have on your catalogue. On a serious note though, have a look at the lyrics if you want to react to a song. There is a difference between hearing and listening, and you have only been hearing. What's the point of hearing a song if you never really listen? That's my advice to you, but it's up to you to take it or leave it.

To be honest, and this is probably an unpopular opinion but, Tatiana's growling is like the least interesting thing about her vocals, at least from my perspective as someone who listens to a lot of bands who utilize growling. Don't get me wrong it's impressive...it's just not as interesting to me as the nuances she puts into her cleans, she is a super creative vocalist and it's all the stuff she does outside of the growling that I love about her.

HA HA HA......My son listens to stuff with this "satanic/demonic type growl " stuff in it.(My own label for it......always reminds me of the Exorcist or Omen type movies).The songs and subjects.....the music....is fairly kool.....but for me...the growl stuff ruins it.....I can't make out what the hell their saying.......then again......my parents used to say that about the early rock I used to listen to back then.....to each their own.....I ain't gonna slam it......just won't listen to it much.Whether its intended to be "satanic/demonic".....I don't know.....if it is....fine with me.....I hate most of the phony man made religions this often idiotic species believes in.....think they've done at least just as much harm as they have good.Stay safe all....stay healthy....lay low until there's a vaccine.Until then....this crap will be around with peaks and valleys of intensity.....don't be fooled......use your common sense.....err on the side of prudence/caution if you err at all.PEACE.

@ArtofFreeSpeech

@Michael Price Well, they don't have a bad song if you're into that sound. I feel that way about Steely Dan, for instance, or the Doors (and a few others). I've never been able to stomach metal, but again, that's just me. It's just too hard on my ears and stomach. When it comes to Pink Floyd, I can fully admit they were a talented band (are?), and a few of their songs I can stomach, but they also have a quality I can't take. I don't do opera, either, at least not to listen to for pleasure. Classical... hmmm... has to be the right composer. I'm a big fan of Bach (Bouree and Suite No. 1 are both pure genius), but not so much Mozart and though I do like some old school hip hop (Bel Biv Devoe, Young MC, LL Cool J for instance), I'm not a fan of the computerized crap of I've heard since Y2K, but then there's very little music that's been put out since "pro tools" came out that I like, and the music I DO like that's come out since then comes from artists who refuse to use Pro Tools, or use it very little (Beck and pretty much anything by Jack White come to mind). As was once said, "before there were pro tools, there were pros." Rick Beato points to things like Pro Tools as the true reason for the death of rock, and I tend to agree.
@ArtofFreeSpeech

@Michael Price Wow... so you don't seem to understand music is an aesthetic. There's no right or wrong. You like what you like. It doesn't make me right and you wrong or vice versa. Sadly, for you, you don't seem to understand that... it's pretty pathetic of you. Have a nice day.
