I use an Aquarium Co-op pre filter sponge on my Tidal. I also use a nylon stocking over my pre filter sponge, so that my fish Fry’s and baby Shrimps from getting sucked up into the filter.

Really wouldn't have minded seeing how it fits on the Tidal. Thanks for the idea anyway.

After finding this product on Amazon, I better understand the second nut you spoke about cutting off. Thanks again for the wonderful hack. We may use this on my girlfriend’s 60 breeder (Tidal 75).

Bought the waterbed filler set. What am I doing wrong? That blue piece isn’t connecting to anything on the Tidal 75 or a 55. It (barely) stays in place from the filter’s suction. One brush by a fish or snail and this will tumble across the substrate. If you are, in fact, actually attaching this piece to the HoB, I’d sure like to know how.

It will work for the 110. All the intakes are the same sixe.

Are pumps on 55, 75, and 110 interchangeble? I have 110 and would like to buy weakest pump and change it. One from 110 is too strong for my project, but I want to keep the big size of 110. Anyone could help?

I don't think that they are the size of the housing that you put the pumps in are different and also the size of the pump are also different sizes but I have never tried to do this before there might be a way to hack it out. Also you can always turn it down they have an adjustable flow

Thanks for reply@@aquariumhacksbymarcus5653 Flow is adjustable, but noise is still the same. Pump itself is absolutelly silent. Resonance of the filter body works as guitar....
