Kia Ora from NZ BACK IN THE 80s 90s we use to thrive on the clamps we call them wang clamps & like you said quick fast repairs an very cheap from a council perspective tight ass bunch of mongrels. they now done away with the clamps in the 2020s so now we gotta shutdown the whole street this becomes an emergency water shutdown down more money back in th contractors pocket. Love your videos awesome bunch of you guys you got there

We have a few good locators on the Illinois side of Metro St. Louis. We have the most trouble with the automated screeners clearing tickets when they have things in the ground.

in rural and small town iowa there are a lot of towns that cant do much except give you an old paper map if that for their water and septic/sewage..also some of the little phone companies that never did mark their old stuff now have super expensive fiber and still not figuring out how they are going to do locates except contract it out

Yeah, depending what area of town where in makes a difference in how we set up. Sometimes we'll close the road all together just so your not watching your back constantly. You never know where some people's heads are while driving sometimes!

Water hammer. We've had guys shut hydrants too fast and pop mains blocks away. They didn't really do anything wrong but it did find a weak spot nearby. Happens to the best of us!

Now that she’s “fixed”does that mean she won’t be having little baby leaks populating the neighborhood?
